Well I’m going to be out of town this coming Saturday, and Magician seemed anxious to get one going soon. If no one can make it Wednesday, then maybe another Saturday.

Sorry, for the absense. I should have mentioned I’d be away for longer than just this past fri. :rolleyes: Time to answer a few questions and clear up a misunderstanding.
I was corresponding w/ Masataka earlier to see if I could check out his joint BEFORE our 1st casual OFFICIALLY got under way. (I should probably have stressed that… my bad). Since the cat is out of the bag, for those of you who CAN make it on wed, I am plan’n to be there at around 11am (which I KNOW is early for many of you w/ school and or work). Our 1st casual is STILL supposed to be this sat, but I NEED to get in contact w/ RIPsta (holla at me man!) to finalize things. I’ll keep you guys posted on times and place as soon as things are finalized.
THE ANSWER - If you would like to have KOF casuals along side w/ Garou, thatz fine by me as long as we can SUPPORT have’n BOTH crowds at the same time at whatever venue we agree upon. This is MAINLY for Garou, so my 1st and foremost concern is that the Garou scene has the resources it needs to hold these casuals. It is crucial to ensure that members from EACH scene coordinate efforts to make sure there is ample equipment to hold these casuals (TVs, controllers, games, systems, adaptors, etc). For now I’m still’n call’n this a Garou thing, but I’ll have discussions w/ you (on sat) when we meet up.
If anyone else out there has a kickback that we can hold this thing at be sure to give me a holla.

The Answer, I have a ps2 but unfortunately, the only fighting games I have for it are cvs 2, sc 2, and gg x 2. If you’d like to play kof or some snk games, you can go ahead and bring em. We’ll probably have 2 tv’s set up, and I have sticks there too but also no converters. So keep that in mind if your coming down, extra converters would be appreciated.

Well peeps, I’m back from our UNOFFICIAL casual at Masatakaz shop. Tis the perfect place for us to hold these things (for those of you who went to Evo, it kind of gives you that BYOC room feel). Since we got the ok, this will become our OFFICIAL spot every OTHER sat of the month STARTING 9/11 (how fitting). This MAY later become a Sunday thing instead, but I’ll keep you guys posted on this.
And now for THIS sat… STILL no word from RIPsta, which means that we may not have a kickback to throw this at (in other words NOT an arcade). Does anyone know what happened to this guy? So, because no one else has stepped up to the plate for a place (besides Masataka… MANY THANKS bro), THIS satz casual will be at Camelot UNLESS someone else has a place to throw this at (which I’d really prefer). “Somebody STEP UP!!!” I’ll give the official word on times and place some time this fri for the casual this sat.
For now, it looks like we’ll be arcade recrouting. Special thanks to THE ANSWER for rep’n yest (hook up that chicken bro!). No hate on those who couldn’t make it out there on what should have been a closed doors session anyways… on a wed… in the day no less.

What up people I had a lot of fun yesterday at MASATAKAS’ place and learned some new stuff, since I’ve only played this game for almost 2 weeks. According to MAGICIAN i’m ok but I would like to improve so I can compete with the rest of you guys.
Also last time I talked to Uncauzi he told me he has not been getting the response from us that he expected about OD beeing in so cal. Come on guys we are not asking for a lot just send him an email or PM thats it we really need to show that we want this man :tup:

To those of you who were able to make it yest, thanks for come’n out. Man, I didn’t think it would happen to me, but I am no longer used to sticks… itz REALLY sad!! I started play’n this game on DC, so play’n on real arcade sticks was a tad crippling for me. NOT that the controls were bad… I just wasn’t used to play’n on sticks (I ALWAYS play this game w/ a SATURN control pad :bgrin: ). I’d actually have to say that the controls were pretty damned good (so put the controller fears at Camelot to rest… at least for the SNK machine).
The only bad thing is that there seems to be just ONE SNK machine AND it does not properly label what games are actually on the machine. An even bigger prob is that there could be NASTY long waits cuz at least one KOF is on the same machine w/ Garou (I think there are other games besides these as well).
THE ANSWER - sorry, I couldn’t put up as much of a challenge on sticks. Hopefully I can provide more w/ my saturn pad. And man, you sure have come a ways for just play’n a couple of weeks! Guess we’ll be see’n you in future Garou tourneys.
Ryuu - thanks for come’n out and rep’n. I’ll get off my lazy duff (soon) and post elsewheres so that hopefully we’ll have a really nice turn out on 9/11. Hope to play against you again soon.
To the stragglers - eh, don’t be shy. I SEE YOU, hell, I even played against some of you. I’ll be the 1st to admit that I AM NO PPRO. A REALLY big reason why we gather is so that we can obtain knowledge from other players by PLAY’N THEM so that we CAN get better. This is for both pros AND newbies alike! We ALL gotta do our part to support the scene.

Hey guys whats up, I had a lot of fun yesterday playing GAROU and learned a lot too even though I feel like I still play a little sloppy I know I can do better but I know I’ve playing for 2 weeks so I can be to hard on my self, but I would really like to get together with some of you guys before I go to to MIAMI for the tourney on Saturday, I just want to do my best and rep. the GAROU Scene in SoCal the best way I can.:tup:

THE ANSWER - You’re do’n good man. I wish I could give you more tips w/ Jennet, but shez one of the chars that I don’t really use. Hopefully you learned some good stuff from our play. Eh, keep an eye out for those hurricanes… SERIOUSLY!!! And get those other K4z guys out of hiding!
Ryuu - shoot, I don’t really use Jae either, so I can’t give you all that many tips w/ him. You guys may want to look at gamefaqs. They are a SURPRISINGLY good source of information. “Play’n against me on a saturn controller makes A WORLD of difference doesn’t it?” :badboy: I look forward to more matches w/ you guys soon.
Just about one more week to go. Can’t wait. Right now, I’m pretty sure I SHOULD be able to get at least 2 or 3 DCs W/ games (I’m pretty sure we’re gonna need extra controllers, so if anyone can bring some, please let me know).
