You know, now that this character is exposed, id say hes pretty close. Hes harder than Vergil or wolvie, but far easier than Magneto or Morrigan.

Vergil is easier to play, but easier to win with? no. Zero’s easily the scrubbiest character in the game to win with. He has no bad matchups and he has every tool to open someone up with into a TOD vortex. Vergil is at least limited by needing meter and x-factor to deal lethal damage and his mix ups come don’t chain together like zero’s. Zero also doesn’t have to commit to anything with his buster, dashes, and his hypers.
I give props for execution, but as far as decision making? No. Zero doesn’t have to respect any character and once he touches you with anything, it’s potentially game. He gets the easiest free mix ups in the game and even his mistakes turn into valid resets or frame traps. Vergil and Wesker are easy to pick up, but they aren’t as dumb as Zero. Execution doesn’t validate the rewards that character gets.
I honestly think Zero is a crutch for players. Vergil is easily the games 2nd best with morrigan right on his ass…but Zero is definitely a tier above them.
First of all you’re wrong: Zero does have bad matchups. Morrigan missiles shut him down completly, and i’d say Trish and Dormammu have the upper hand against him too.
Vergil is way dumber than Zero lol. Zero requires a bit of execution at least. Vergil XFC 2 or 3 or with missiles doesn’t require anything. I play them both, not being biased.
Zero is very easy to get a hit with Zero, but he is a character that takes a lot execution with the lightning loops. Vergil is like the cheapest character in the game, and wesker is almost as cheap
As a Zero player myself, I think Zero is not an easy mode character. You have to really play well with him, especially in neutral. You can’t just go nuts with him and expect to win. If Zero gets hit, well… he’s going to die due to the low health he has (825,000 health). The lightning loops can be a little wonky when you start doing them, but once you get the rhythm it’s not super difficult. But even if you do get the rhythm of it though, you’re still probably going to drop it sometimes haha. People like Flux, Cloud, Flocker, and other amazing zero players still drop their loops sometimes. But yeah, all in all, Zero IMO is not an easy mode character.
