So we all know Marvel 3 has been officially announced. I wonder if the TvC community will embrace the game and migrate to MvC3.
Hopefully, the game retains the system dynamics of TvC, which are very well thought out and executed.
I could see people playing both, but it seems more likely that Marvel 3 will overshadow the game (and marvel 2, for that matter).

I don’t think MvC3 is going to kill TvC UAS in the next moths or something like that, in fact, I’m pretty sure MvC3 will be played much closely to TvC than MvC2 somehow, so TvC will help newcommers & the current scene to enter MvC3 better than MvC2 (thanks to Ryota Nitsuma)…Also, the game is comming in 2011, so we still have lots of time to enjoy this awesome game.
Its going to take a dent out of the tvc crowd. I dont get why capcom released this game then shot out ssfiv and now mvc3…

We’ll see after EVO just how popular the game will be in the future.That’s the big one.
If MVC3 turns out the way SFIV did, I could see the Vs. Series fans coming back to this game…or MVC2.
Well, I can’t speak for everybody out there, but I’m still going to be playing this game. I feel like most of the people who were serious about this game will stick with it for a while longer, and the people who weren’t, weren’t, so fuck 'em.

It can’t hurt yet, it’s coming out late spring 2011.
But I am pretty sure after that point TvC will achieve American SNK status.
Idk Ima play tvc like nobodies business and if MvC3 is close to the same style even better for me. Because then i will reck even harder on the guys who thought tvc sucked in comparison to mvc2. LOLZ I will have my day in the sun!!!

I’ll die happy if MvC3 is a lot like TvC (I mean this in a good way).
well i’ll always be playing this as long as there are servers.
That it’s going to die. MvC3 will probably be superior in every way possible. 
TVC won’t die. To me, MVC3 will be the TVC that never showed up on PS3/360. For people like me whose 360 got the RRoD, I’ll continue to play TVC until I get a new Xbox. Seeing how Ryu is a straight cutout from TVC, I don’t see MVC3 being much different from this game. I bet assist won’t be spamable, mega crash will be present (and balance out the infinites), and variable air raid will be possible. The only difference will be the graphics, the button layout and the 3-man teams. MVC3 will be to TVC what Raging Blast was to Tenkaichi 3 (though I do hate both of these games).
I love TvC but dear god I hope MvC3 doesn’t use the A,B,C,P1,P2 button layout. Give me back lp,hp,lk,hk if not all six. I think it works for TvC because a lot of those characters aren’t already represented in other fighting games, but I mained Chun in SF4 and my brain took a second to comprehend not hitting punch/kick differently
