She could still ruin him. The court doesn’t care or have any pity on how poor you are. The only thing that matters is upholding the standard. He’ll get fucked if he goes through this without a plan. His best play is annulment. The situation is perfect for that now. She overacted without even knowing the true circumstances, or even being willing to wait it out with him before flying off the handle and running away. If that’s how she handles a crisis, then I’m sure he doesn’t want her anyway.
Play that card with your lawyer, and agree that the skeleton in the closet, albeit it a harmless one it turns out, is still yours. Own up to nothing other than having a prior relationship that you withheld from her and she’ll look like a fucking monster. You don’t have to own up to anything else, no matter how guilty you start to feel. Women are good at making men feel guilty. Don’t fucking fall for it.
