EVERY single country in the world with health care has been fine with it. Yes, you get minor problems from time to time (usually dumb shit like not enough beds in a hospital, or not enough doctors in certain regions), but u have healthy citizens as well.
No more getting a serious injury or illness and having to sell ur house to get better.
The amount of people I hear talking about how its just poor people mooching money makes me sick. Who in their right mind would WANT to get really sick or injured, just so they can go to a doctor???
This bill was intended to help people too poor to get treatment. Some of these people never get better, and can’t go back to work, because they’re too sick/injured, and it’s just a never ending vicious cycle.
To say your money is too good to help other people, or that you shouldn’t be paying taxes for other people, is just…not human. How much other taxes go to stupid things…can childless couples complain about paying taxes that go towards schools? Sure, YOU may not ever use this service, but what about your children? Their children???

Americans need to become more proactive y’all know damn well that you shouldn’t trust people in the capital to explain to you everything . They are there to represent your best interest when you give somebody that right they are gonna make decisions for you since they think its in your best interest. If you cared about your interest you would find ways to take care of your local problems on your on. The government and the healthcare industry have been working in hand to harm you more than help. The government creates propaganda on drugs, sex , and health. Then they turn around and ship drugs to Americans, and support companies that kill Americans year in and year out. People need to try helping their fellow man before they need to use their government.
I don’t see doctors taking care of patients for free , because its their duty to mankind. I see them doing it because mom and dad said they can make alot of money since basketball didn’t work out for them. Until you see people being passionate about truly helping each other then you will see a real change , because the government will just tax us harder, big pharma and our insurance companies are just gonna make the premiums more expensive.
First off, we have way more people in America rather than Europe, and 2nd, how are we going to pay for illegal immigrants? I just read an article about how they were going to deport this woman but they didnt because they realized she had 6 kids in 7 years or something. 3rd, people go in for silly ass reasons, such as getting toe nails clipped and acne popped. That sounds like stuff that should not be paid for by us. 4th, how the fuck are we going to pay for this? We just cant keep printing more money and getting more in debt.
The sad thing is that more and more people will abuse the system, and never work or do anything anymore. People claim fake injuries for disability money. I know a friend who’s dad has not worked since 1997 because he claimed he had a bad knee, but of course he does not and he gets $3000 a month from the feds because of it, he gets a handicap spot, and a few other benefits to boot.
I think this is the begginning of the end for private freedoms. I cant drive a car because it pollutes too much, I cant eat this food because it is unhealthy, I have to pay for someone to get a bandaid put on their cut. I have to pay for condom reasearch. It never ends.
There is never a way to pay for stuff. In my home county, the sales tax is 9.5%. That is a huge amount of tax. The highest in the country. But it isnt enough, no, they want to make it 11% and add an income tax. And for what? They dont say, they put out generic things, schools, police, government buildings. Someday in my county, it will be 70% sales tax. We the people in my county voted agaisnt it, but they said it doesnt matter, because the things that the taxes cover are more important than what the voters think. Its fucking insane and destroys democracy.

as far as personal freedoms go, you can still do all of those things and there’s no danger of that changing anytime soon…although realistically if there were laws about what people could eat and how much the healthcare system wouldn’t be as broken as it is.
as far as your personal county, it sounds more like you guys got raped by teh economy than anythign else. 9% sales tax is ridiculous as is 11%…although it kinda makes sense if you’re not paying income and/or property taxes which are generally raised well before sales tax.

No! Seriously, you guys make for scary neighbours these days. Obama’s health care “reform” is a farce, and just goes to show how your government is incapable of doing anything worthwhile. I’m a socialist and I think this bill stinks to high heaven. It’s just a cash grab for insurance companies and their kept pets in congress. All we can hope for is that this leads to real health care reform in the future, but I’m not liking your odds on that.

Just about every other month less than a block away from my apartment. I live near Dallas. At least three of them working a street corner taking donations in a cup that I wish so bad I could piss in. They are literally all around and I’m pretty sure that I have about an 80% chance to encounter one grinning and smiling back at me like I’m their friend on a daily basis.
My county has the highest property tax in the state as well at 12%. Fucking insane. I aint saying shit? I am saying the government is causing itself to go bankrupt and the only way they can think of getting money, is to steal our money away from us to do worthless things such as condom research, building a bridge for animals, flower research, buying two super diesel engines for boats in Kansas,and updating a barn in Nebraska. Why should I pay for that? Why should anyone? You look at your paycheck after working 18.5 hours of overtime a week and you see that Uncle Sam has viciously raped you, taking almost $800 out of my check.
Social Security was a good idea at the time when nobody was old. My great grandfather told me that he used to pay like $3 a check in the 1960s, now for me, it is over $100. We have too many people in government jobs as well that are not properly taxed.
We need to quit having such high taxes. You take more money out of your check, so you have less money to spend at stores, which causes a stagnat economy.

but whatever, i’ll agree with you that pork spending is ridiculous although relative to how much money we spend in general it’s not really worth talking about. i mean, let’s assume that there’s $2 billion dollars of worthless spending in our country’s budget, the federal budge from last year was damn near $3 trillion…now think about how much you heard and know about pork spending, it’s political play-action. it’s the equivalent of telling a person they need to cut back on how much money they spend and the first thing that needs to go is the extra sugar that they put in their coffee rather than the monthly trips to gucci and LV for shoes.

They seem to have a fondness for dying due to bombs. Both our middle eastern foes and current allies want nuclear capability and are working towards accomplishing that. Which of the 2 could POSSIBLY want the ability to weaponize nuclear material to attack others? You read or hear about their explosive-based exploits in their own countries at least 3 times a week…imagine what they could do with a suitcase nuke in a place like Cali or New York. Sure, they die, but remember: they take others with them. Fast track to Allah, and more damage than some c4 and a cup of nails and ball bearings.

heh my universal healthcare in korea covers pretty much anything that could/would happen to me…unless i get cancer, in which case i’m SOL since cancer isn’t covered.
