So... I'm pretty sure there's vulnerability frames on land

Edit: After further testing, I’ve found this information to be FALSE. Sorry about that. Some moves do leave the attacker with vulnerability frames on land, but a standard jump or SJ do not leave the landing player vulnerable.

Go to practice with a friend. Have one person stand in the corner and jump. Immediately after jumping, the jumper should hold 1 (blocking crouching). The other player swings at the right as they hit the ground with a non-overhead. Repeat, and you’ll see that indeed there are vulnerability frames on land.

It’s tough to nail, but that will annoy the **** out of me when ppl figure out how to utilize it.

I’m gonna have to try swinging on different characters to see if it’s easier/harder against them.

I haven’t tested this myself, but I’ve had this suspicion for a while. I’m unsure how I feel about it though.

i’ve thought that was the case for a while now, but i wasn’t sure if it was just the player letting up on the block or not. i’ve made good use of it at times.

More stuff to add the palette of stuff to increase my TvC game.

Are you sure it’s not the startup frames for a character’s jump? Because if your friend is repeatedly jumping then there’s a chance you’ll tag them as they are about to jump a second time.

I actually really like the idea of vulnerable frames on landing, but then how come it’s possible to block Roll’s puddle by jumping on it?

i have no idea if this is accurate but maybe different chars. have different amounts of vulnerability frame’s on their landings and maybe both of the chars. your testing have either many frames of vulnerability or ridiculously fast pokes…just my theory
