thanks gbursine, just played vs1 on emu just then, was alot of fun and felt kinda like a vs game i really like the dashes and chain combos
Does VS1 in this collection have Pyron, Hutzil and Donovan?
Even with the glitches gone, I still need to import this game this week.
http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20050411/vdc.htm Hereās the site that I first found the āarrangeā versions mentioned on⦠It appears they are unlockables (or āa concealment title that appears under a specific conditionā, as Babelfish so eloquently puts it).
I was wondering why arrange versions for both VS2 and VH2 would exist, since the arcade originals were identical (as far as I know) in gameplay, and the only difference were the rosters. With the arrange versions completely filling the rosters, it seemed rather pointless, but this site mentions that the arrange version of VH2 actually does away with the āimpact gaugeā (white damage), as well as having two seperate rounds like the original VH and most other traditional fighters. The life meters also appear to empty toward the middle rather than away from it, like they did in all of the previous Savior-based releases. I know many disliked the VS-style round system, so this might be a very welcome addition.
I canāt recall where I read the thing about glitches (maybe Iām mistaken, and I was thinking of a different game), but if I come across it, Iāll post a link.
EDIT2: Vague reference here ( http://www.quiter.jp/news/269/003622.html ) to differences betwen the āinitial shipment versionsā and āfinal shipment versionsā being preserved⦠I would assume this has to do with the glitch options.
EDIT: Oh, and just in case it hasnāt been mentioned yet; a special PS2 fighting pad based on the Saturn controller layout is being released as a promotion for this collection. Pics here: http://www.rakuten.co.jp/sls/645972/654803/
Hey man thanks for the link.Donāt feel bad about not finding Feliciaās track,DA GAME still canāt get Donovanās ending tracks. The site has every soundtrack available expect those 2.
Remember that the Saturn Vampire Savior required some play before you could unlock the bonus options (English text, etc.). Perhaps this collection is the same and itās just not a default option. Would be nice to have a system direction type tweak menu and full rosters in VS/VS2/VH2.
Got to wait patiently for my copy (and my Vampire edition Saturn pad ) to ship from NCSā¦
just like i said: if thereās a way to unlock unblockable, that game would be the shit, since itās the best VS anyway.
still, what is oboro bishamon doing in VS1. I still donāt get it.
P.S they should have made a guard judgment option just like in 3s. it would be way more simple.
Iām a bit unsure about getting this if the PS2 version hits the US. Iād prefer some online option just to play with other people. The best chance of that happening is if it comes on Xbox Live. Then again, not all Xbox games will be compatible with X360.
Iāll hold out, I think. Besides, I have Vampire Hunter (Nightwarriors: Darkstalkers Revenge) on the Saturn (the best in the series IMHO), so Iām satisfied for now.
Any news on that āEvil Donovanā?
Vampire Hunter with full animation (without having to select the same character for 1P and 2P) should be nice. I ordered it from Play-Asia yesterday and it shipped today.
latest news for those interested: there is indeed a way to enable unblockables, making it the best VS port ever. not sure about arcade perfect, but still. thereās a new character named Dee, who is basically a really bad joke(take Demitriās sprite and normals, add Donovanās moves, and throw Phobosās laser in the mix, and BAM! you got yourself a new character: Dee).
hereās what he looks like.

How do you unlock the unblockables?
well, it was simple, after all. just go into options, enter āgame optionsā while pushing L1+R1, and itās 1997/05/19ver.
but beware. unblockables are active, but not doable in training; the dummy will guard everything. but if you put human, or try in versus mode⦠it works.
Is there dummy recording in the training mode? Move lists? Just how buff is the training mode?
In CVS 2ās training mode Iāve seen the computer block shit when it wouldnāt normally be able to. Not to say that youāre wrong, but have you managed to pull them off in a match outside of training in other versions?

Iāve seen screenshots of the movelists⦠donāt know about dummy recording.
anyone get this working from their ps2ās hdd? apparently the game officially supports the sony hdd in japan and itās causing problems for other hdds. if i remove my hdd and play itās fine but iād rather play with 0 loading.
It would be tight if someone were to put Vampire Collection onto a disk, and have the ability to play Chronicle under an option in the main menu (1p start, options, etc).
i can do it on a constant basis on emus and PS2 when they are unlocked(the Zabel one. i can do Bishamonās, but iām a Zabel player). iāll just say that itās like PS2 3s training mode with guard judgement old: computer dummy WILL guard it, but if you do the same against an human dummy, or in versus mode, it will work.
move list is in training mode; dummy recording not sure(never paid attention).
holler mcdollar: loadings are not a problem, since you have one big ass loading when selecting the game⦠then no more until you change the game.
Anyone know where I could find a list of the unlockable content? Some sort of guide to which star changed what setting for the game modes would be cool too.

is there any english sites that have combos for the characters (dont say gamefaqs)
all I found are in Japanese. : /
