i only played VS1 for now. zabel and bishamon’s unblockables are gone, which is NOT GOOD to me. and oboro bishamon is in VS1. maybe there’s a way to pick glitched zabel and bishamon, but i did not find it yet.

Good grief, looks like there will never be a perfect port of VS1. Guess the Saturn version still stands as the best with most of the arcade glitches intact aside from Zabel’s unblockable.

Kayin, I’ve mentioned earlier that I haven’t come across anything like an “arrange” mode or even a mode select. So unless I’m missing something, its just basic options and an art gallery mode. No idea on the glitches and what not. I remember the Zabel j.lk? unblockable, but I’m not too sure. Sorry!
Gburshine, I can’t really comment on combos and gameplay differences lol. I never had that much exp w/the DS series save for part 1
i tested both unblockables(bishamon’s HCF+PP and zabel’s jump lk) and none works. i tried to finish the game to see if there’s something like options+ like capcom used to to; no such thing for the moment. i did not see any arranged/original version of the game either.
still, it seems like it’s the best vampire savior yet; with no bullshit infinites(like zabel’s on Saturn) or stuff like that. it’s just that unblockable are not in the game anymore, which is one hell of a turn-off for me(i’m a zabel player). unless there’s a way to “unlock” unblockables, that game is not worth it to me.
oh, and every combo seems to work. “seems” being the key word.
and why is Oboro Bishamon in VS1? am I missing something?

ive only played darkstalkers, the original one, just wondering whats the best DS game to get into, would it be vampire hunter 2, or vampire savior 2, which is more popular? thanks.

so vampire savior 1 better than 2?
bishamon’s is simple. enemy in the corner, guarding. throw HCF+PP. if opponent guards, get closer. if it hits, well, it’s good. distance is really tight.
zabel’s is almost as simple. jump lk. when well timed, it will hit, even if the opponent is guarding(last frame of jump lk do not trigger guard). none works on PS2 version.
and yeah, VS1 is the best.
toxy: maybe, tho mainly vs2 came at a really bad time, & the japs got lazy & made VS1 the mainstream vampire.
all the crappy tweaks to vs2 just add on more.
diablo: so bish’s ub is distance depentant, & zabels is all timing. makes things seem more practical.
i thought they had to be done on wakeup, which makes things really crazy w/ ground moving mind games.
