So I decided to get back into this drawling stuff

  • Ah okay, I should change that to something else then. And Yotsubato!'s awesome, it has that universal appeal.

  • I’m here in Japan to brush back up on my Japanese. I figured the fastest way for me to get better is not through going through classes in the US but actually studying it here and getting much more chances to converse with other Japanese people. This is true, because the first two months of studying here has equaled up to the two years of Japanese class I took back in high school.

The Akuma pic is lol. I like the angle you drew him from laying on the ground. I need to practice that angle some more.

I finally found motivation to wanna draw again. So I drew this.

Ultimately, I wish I didn’t shade it in, but ah well.

gotta agree, wasnt expecting that from akiman

good stuff man. reminds me of black and white manga style

Lol, Damnit, You’re really good.

omg new fanart

I got inspired by Chun’s new alternate costume in SF4.

Thats pretty amazing.

I agree wholeheartedly. The ONLY thing I can see wrong with it is that maybe her shins look a little too short? Like maybe your brain was trying to compensate for reaching the bottom of the page. Everything else is superb and the weight of your lines is just right.

Thanks for the kind words and critique. I’ll agree that the legs were ironically my biggest problem(which is why I opted to hide them with the dress), but now that I think about it, they are a bit too short. I guess I was trying to fit her into the pic as much as possible.

I actually really like the design, so I think I’ll make another drawing of it, probably something more dynamic.

Aku, you’re really really good at drawing. I am totally jealous.

Wow! I really love your line work ^^ The Akuma pic is really funny too. In the chun drawing I think the position of the legs is awkward. It’s like she’s just turned her lower half sideways to show her ass for no real reason. Everything in it is spot on besides that. I love just looking at it  Color maybe? (for your revival)

Thanks for the critique! And yeah, I don’t like how the legs turned out either. I’m currently making a new picture to make up for that one; ultimately I find the last pic to be lacking depth…y’know, it just feels “flat”. Along with the mysterious ass-showing position of the lower body, haha.

I’d color it, but Photoshop crashes on my comp. =(((

raging demon yotsuba? i’d pay for a colored poster of that.

the alien image and the yotsuba whooping akuma are nice.

ha i love how you covered that ugly akiman pic. its pretty funny to hear other ppls reactions when they first saw that pic and thought…akiman made that?

great homage nonetheless. your style seems slightly different in some pics. overall it def resembles the SF art style which is always appreciated on a SF forum

New picture. It’s been waaaay too long since I’ve done Rival Schools fanart(it’s my favorite Capcom fighting game series besides SF). And yeah, Kyoko’s always been my favorite.

New pictures. I haven’t drawn Cammy in like, 10 years. haha

A close-up of the linework, as I’m particularly pleased with how it turned out this time:

Looks good. Your line weight, face, and hands all look really good BUT, it looks like the legs are way too short again.

Looking back, you’re right. The legs do look weird; I guess I made the legs too scrawny knees downward, otherwise it’d actually look proportional to the rest of her body.

Yeah I can have to go with NeoBlood here. You’re overall art style is nice but proportions are key to making or breaking work.

I suffered with this problem for many years. Look at a picture then look at the pieces of the body, you’ll start to notice that they are always equal lenth in areas; Your leg from your hip to your knee will be roughly the size of your leg from your knee to your ankle.
