Hay Koogy me and my friend jack daniels thinks, that for a really long time, Guilty Gear was always bringing the largest numbers to every tourney, more than capcom, snk, tekken, etc. the only thing that was near it in the early 2000’s was Smash, so I dont think guilty gear really gets a negative stereotype here in America, from around 03 to 07 it honestly was the only thing the hardcore community was playing. GG brought a lot of new players to the scene IMO, most of them started off as single game GG experts only, but alot of them have learned other games too. IMO GG was the best thing to happen to the fighting game scene before SF4. (And now SF4 is the best thing to happen to the FG scene)
the only negative stereotype GG really got was “its too hard”
sorta on topic: I am in no ways trying to scare away new players, but it makes me lol when someone says "i’m gonna rape, this isn’t the same as guilty gear!"
yeah its a new game, but it basically shares most of the same concepts of GG.
as for how it plays to SF4, I would say SF4 is like Checkers, and BB is like Chess, and GG is like that 4 layered Chess Bullshit from Star Trek TNG.
this thread is lol.
I gotta go hang with my buddy captain morgan now. peace.
Was not sure about this game but,got it anyway.it came today, put it on and, addicted.
You got a lite, strong and fierce(what ASW call A,B andC),then a drive button. The drive is the basis for starting combos.you double up on buttons(A+B,A+B+C).not so much quater direction input but, when you play you find there is much more to this game and it works in it’s own rite, compared to traditional SF,KoF input system.Nuff said, find out for your self.go get dat BB.
i never played Guilty Gear, i only heard about it and watched it for a bit, blazblue seems really sweet… question is… is this really worth for me getting into since i only play sf4??
