havent powered up mvc2 in a while, but i still play the other Vs games, and to put it simply
ryu-make him his xvsf self with equivalent damage in mvc2 and hes a threat. period
ken-dont remember him much from mvc2, but just make him his xvsf self and do something
with his roll to make mixups and good defensive reads be in his favor always.
rogue-take her back to her xvsf self, giving her back no height restrictions on her iad. give her another super, flight, and a little health bump.
juggernaut-make him his xvsf again. all throws including command throws have guaranteed follow ups with launcher. also a little better range on his command throw. make it a real annoying threat.
cyclops-again, xvsf self. thats it. if you want to od on cyclops make him his xvsf self and give him a short range command throw. lol.but really his xvsf is so good, its all you need. tic throws into corner slams with heavy damage loops all day.
sabertooth-xvsf self. give hundred bullets birdie super some start up invincibility and more chip, and hes pretty much fine.
charlie-xvsf self. thats more then enough. seriously
gambit-his xvsf self, corner loops and all, but give him his mvc1 super that he also has in mvc2. he will be really strong being lame, and once cornered can have a field day. id make sure his staff strike (DP+p) on the light version never whiffs over any character and to be a dick you also wouldnt be able to block it low. so once in the corner, have fun. plus the light version of staff strike would be +1. hold that
akuma-who fuckin cares, but make him his xvsf and he will do just fine. you could also adjust his teleport speed and recovery, along with making his demon flip pressure a real threat. maybe also giving demon flip a little invincibility on startup.
colossus-1 frame real command throw, another super, light and heavy shoulder charge is positive on block, so once colossus gets you to block like a heavy or light shoulder charge, you have to worry about command throw, super if you try to hit a button, normal attack string into more shoulder pressure, or simply getting normal thrown. lol. i would make colossus so simple, but so fucking annoyingly good. he would basically be a frame trap monster that sucked in mobility, but you had to respect within a certain range, and once he got started it would be hard to get out. so maybe like light shoulder charge be +2, and heavy shoulder charge be +4 but obviously would have slower startup, so like you couldnt block string into heavy shoulder charge without someone sj’ing out of it or something, but if they dont make that read, or get locked down by assist, then you get your free heavy shoulder charge into pressure.
bbhood-its been so long. i use to play her the most back when. i dont remember much, but i would say give her an invincible dp to deal with rushdown, and an air super that she can super cancel into off of the dp. so its not just like yo gtfo, its gtfo and lose 30 percent. im sure there is more like giving her plus frames on some of her special normals and specials, but id have to fire up mvc2 and go through it all again.

iron man/war machine-you pretty much just make them their mvc1 selves with the msh tri dash iron man had, and oooooo we. also give iron man another super, and i think war machine might need some adjustments to his supers too, but i forget.
spiderman-more fucking damage, being able to combo into at least crawler assault by himself, air dash he can instantly cancel and have a pseudo tri dash where he can do high/low/throw mixups, some type of extended loops (niggas combos are all like 7 hits.lol), maybe less startup on maximum spider to just make it stupid and capable of punishing almost anything on reaction. hmm, probably more. oh yeah dp knocks opponent down no matter what and is untechable, just to make it extra cheap. get dp’d, now you have to eat left/right, high/low mixups with assist. hold that

i mean ideally you would also like to balance out the game mechanics a bit more too without nerfing it to shit. guard break is always stupid, take it out. slow some characters down a little, but not like mvc3 or umvc3. i still enjoy the madness of tri dashers mixing you up and going nuts, but it cant hurt to dial it back a little. even mvc3 vanilla magneto when dialed back was still really fast, but i wouldnt dial mvc2 mags back that much, but you could as long as you dont change his tri dash height limitations. he would still be fucking retarded at rushdown, but he wouldnt be like a ghost on the screen at times. but i think mostly i would only like to see guard break gone.
maybe one day in the future a fine lad will hack the mvc2 dc or ps2 rom and go to town making a great game that will take over the underground players and leave capcom hella salty when no one wants to play shitty umvc3 anymore, and would rather play a hacked mvc2. lol
