@ Manny I do hope things turn out well I do feel where you are coming from (health issues) I just hope that this can be fixed in the near future. Just get better and I am sure you will help out with some of the issues and answer some of the questions that some of the players may have so this issue can rest.

Let these guys keep us informed as to what plan “B” is bringing without the clutter of why GAMME flopped. IF YOU READ THE LAST SEVERAL PAGES THEIR IS NOTHING ELSE ANYONE NEEDS TO CONTRIBUTE.

I have to pay my respects to all the ppl who actually went out their way to BUY tickes and are now looking for an alternative option. He mentioned he would try to rework flights for other people, but the best thing to do is call his “company” and work things out. You don’t need to keep asking hypothetical questions because you’re not contributing to solving the problem and all you’re accomplishing is trying to stir shit up. We don’t need that right now.
I’m not a regular member of your community but I wanted to share what I know of GPX. Manny offered his company’s services to our event for a price that seemed reasonable on his end (until I witnessed firsthand how crummy their services and equipment actually were) but was way too much money on our end. We told him no, he counteroffered with a lower price, and we still said no. A month later he contacted us again claiming he had left GPX Gaming and could now offer the same services at an even lower price. This doesn’t seem like a big deal on the surface but it does lend to the pattern of his lying when its convenient for him.
I have to call shenanigans on Kunicon offering him 6-digits to remain onboard but his turning it down because the rest of the workers wouldn’t get paid. If one cared so much about the other workers, couldn’t he split those 6-digits up amongst everyone? Or was everyone else expecting 6-digits as well for working some brand new conventions? Smells to me.
I normally don’t do this, but after all that’s happened I think I speak for everyone when I say “thanks, but no thanks”

Yeah, I talked to Sixpod (Jason from GPX) last night explaining we kind of want to do this one on our own.
I emailed the lady at the best potential venue atm last night. I haven’t gotten a response yet, but i’ll keep everyone updated

Yes lets please do, because we could all go on and on about wether you like or hate Manny or being disappointed or whatever the case may be, but it really is not going to help the future.
My offer still stands if you guys need me, glenn or javi’s help on this. This is not an attempt to save face for Manny. This is just an offer to help the community after something unfortunate from the rest of the staff to you. As a former member of the DDR/Music/Bemani community I was also contacted by those players about them wanting to help out with any venue fees if we have enough space for their games as well.
In other words Plank if we get the Fairground space, getting the money covered for the venue will be the least of our worries.
Also to agree with Isaac We can handle this all on our own so we don’t want to be offered anything by GPX just in case “something” happens and then we end up with nothing.
As soon as Plank/Hungrybox get the space we need for all of us, I will then post an official Thread with all the details for the event we will be planning June 5/6.

Oh, some friends of mine are trying to get in contact with the TO’s as far as music games go. If the organizers could post their AIM info in their profile, then I’d appreciate it so I can relay the info over to the guys with machines. I’m sure some of you guys know who I’m talking about (jebailey mentioned in passing).
I told them to go ahead and create profiles here to do it themselves, but I’m not sure if they’ve already contacted Plank or the other guy.

I have not heard of him paying back anything on flights. I think that maybe he paid back on the Registration and Venue fee’s etc…etc… I have heard nothing about flights though!
