Just found out Abel’s sweep could be cancel into a special/super… but does it shave any recovery time of the recovery time/ does it have any practical applications?
Sweep into roll is a pretty standard move I see used all the time
Thnks just curious… don’t like the game yet I like beating the challenges and pulling off combos in training mode… am I a bad person?
Sweep into roll is incredibly useful to get in on turtles and if they focus your sweep, you can cancel into super or wheel kick to catch them off guard.
By the way its not just his sweep, most of his normals are cancel able.
Why don’t you ask in the Abel sub forums…
I used sweep xx EX TT to punish an armored dash punch once, and sweep xx roundhouse wheel kick to punish an abel who mashed a random breathless that went out the wrong way. that’s about it though.
Thnks to all that helped and @MechZZ, I’m just a lazy fuck I suppose… I won’t make threads like these all the time, I’m just want to know enough at this game to be able to win in some random chance I play someone but I simply do not like this game much… I’m more interested in ST and learning 3rd Strike atm…

On Topic: As a charge character mainer (Dee Jay) I can attest to this. I’ve been caught a ton of times attempting to block a sweep and end up getting tossed around by a canceled into roll. Neither my AA or normals help me unless I anticipate this tactic coming at the time.
I love canceling it into wheel kick. You can only get away with it once or twice but it’s great for catching people off guard, then I mix it up by canceling into roll.
I am thinking some theory fighting to test out if this can be used as a pressure tactic.

I want to learn MvC2 and I’m ready to bite the bullet… and I’m all about finding the info myself in most cases but I’m still thinking about making a thread to ask about common special move abbreviations(shit confuses me hardcore)…I understand the symbols just fine…
