And you have to plan out when you want it activated by doing 1 more attack to go into Max mode. Vism however can be done on a blocking player and it OPENS their block so they are practically open for the Vism combo strings.
No it isn’t stopped but when you’re knocked down you lose max mode time getting up and chasing after the person. Just cause you have max mode doesn’t mean you’re always going to get to string the combos together.
That depends, if you GCFS/GCD (guard cancel dash) through weak attacks, there is no time to start a combo by the time the opponents weak animations go back to their idle animation. Some medium attacks will play long enough for you to start a combo and some are just pokes so that depends also. Medium attacks followed by a special move will let you move in and combo, fierce attacks do give you enough time to start a combo most of the time. I find GCFS a great feature in this game. I was tired of the KOF roll, roll, roll, roll, roll. Which is probably why alot of KOF players didn’t like the game. Hell, you even need super meter to do GCFS in 1 of 2 ways anyways so you can’t do it all the time unless you know how to conserve them and put them to good use. Even missing a grab will deplete super meter which I thought was great. Makes up for ppl who keep trying to grab you but are too far when they know they should’ve been closer.
