if they make snk vs capcom 2 and completely merge both companies characters into an alternative reality; like make Ryu and ken rival bosses in south town and put them in suits, Bison and geese being the main protagonists, terry being in geese’s group with them hating each other for some shit, and Bison being a lone fighter that looks like a messy vagabond.
if they completely change everything apart from trade mark moves just story wise then they would have one fucking interesting game on their hands :wonder:
I don’t know about that, I would still handily take 3s,SF2HD,KOF 98,KOF02,T6 over this anyday of the week…but I’m not opose to playing this tittle either.
The only thing I liked about this game were some of the character sprites. I think the best sprites of sagat, boxer, guile and chun appeared in this game.
Yeah man, seriously. Different folks, different strokes. I like the game, but I don’t love it; there’s games I much rather play, like Soul Calibur or Street Fighter Zero 2. Its undeniable its got some great ideas going and most of all, its fun to me. Isn’t that the only reason anyone needs?
Reminds me of V-ism, though people don’t hate on Alpha 3 nearly as much.

You will never see anyone do those outrageous max mode combos in a real match. Never… Only the basic max mode combos will ever be seen. You’ll never see anyone pull off those ridiculous ones. I’ve only seen 2 top players do some basic long max combos with Geese, Iori and Kyo and even those weren’t impossible ones but they are damaging.

The game was different and fun, average i suppose…Super street fighter 2 is a game i hated, game was garbage.
Max mode in Choas can’t be compared to V-ism. While V-ism is retarded, there is definitely more strategy to it.
With V-ism you manually activate, as opposed to Chaos where you automatically are put in max mode when your meter is full.
V-ism can be stopped by counter activation, alpha counter, or a hit
Max mode, by comparison isn’t deactivated on hit.
Max mode isn’t what breaks the game anyway. GCFS is. Any random poke can be GCFS’d and then you can insert a ridiculous combo. This game is essentially a turtle fest, despite all of the massive offensive options at your disposile. You can literally beat anyone by turtling, building meter, and then GCFS into any maxmode combo you desire.
some take better advantage of this system than others, those two being Geese, ROB Iori, and Zero. Geese is pretty imbalanced since he has great zoning, great rushdown, great pokes, and insane damage, he’s pretty unbeatable. Basically, like many KOF games, it’s all about who gets their infinite off first. Totally not fun at higher levels. Basically this game just takes 1 retarded beat all strategy that has no plausible counters.
If A3 is loved, and this game is hated. It’s because A3 requires far more thinking and strategic gameplay than this game ever will. And that’s the truth.
Sure, the game is pretty bad, but for something to play one afternoon when you’re bored of everything else, this one isn’t bad. I had it back in the day(just wanted some online fighter, just got the xbox like days before) to tide me over till SFAC came out cause I wasn’t that into CvS2 yet.
