SNK vs. CAPCOM: Chaos On XBOX 360 Live?!?

Wouldn’t they have to repurchase the rights to the Capcom characters? If so, then they’d have to make some bank off of XII to acquire them again. I’d be down for a balanced SVC (lol), but it would probably be better to move onto NGBC2; then again we would have to wait a long time for all the other SNK characters to be redrawn for it to have a roster even the size of its predecessor. If they really wanted to make extended use of their old sprites before quitting their use altogether, then they could do “UM” SvC.

Yeah, and its pretty lame it has. MKvDC is by far the best MK game since, at least MK4 if not UMK3.

But, what I dont get, is how and why MKD and MKA sold so fucking much. I mean, the 3-D MK’s sold around 7 millions copies across 4 systems!!! (World-wide sales) And those game are garbage.

Things that make you go…Hmmmm?

MKA sold fairly well, but nowhere CLOSE to 7 million units.

Where exactly are you getting your sales figures from?

US MKA sold a little over 1 million with all 3 systems combined. And there’s no way in hell it sold 6 million copies in Europe.

Capcom vs Jump Super Stars, MAKE IT HAPPEN

My bad. I fixd the post. Got over excited lol

While I enjoy SvC Chaos, I play it with the understanding that it’s sickeningly broken. Way back when the (good) local arcade was still open I used to play it actively so I have an undeserved soft spot for it.

Unfortunately.

I disagree. I think SVC’s dialogue was far better than MKvsDC’s, I sure love the characters A LOT more. I like the fighting system more; to me the Neo Geo graphics trump MKvsDC’s piss-poor animation and silted movements any day of the week. The only advantage I see it having over SVC is that its more balanced, but that isn’t saying much.

I can enjoy SVC on the grounds it is still miles ahead better than Marvel in the Balance department, it has a fun character rooster, and it gives us Capcom heads an excuse to adapt to the KOF style of play every once in awhile. I approach the game knowing it is broken, and on those grounds I know not to take it as seriously and have fun.

SvC more balanced than Marvel?

=/

:wtf:…no thx

I played SvsC in an arcade in Seattle and really, really enjoyed it. From a casual player standpoint the game was really fun and and I loved seeing the SF cast drawn in the SNK style. I guess I didn’t spend enough time with it to get to the broken bits and no one in this thread has directly mentioned what is actually broken about the game.

I would play it on XBOX live.

What about Ken and Mai? Or Mai and Chun going at it?

Good times…

I agree with this part as well.

Unfortunately, thats all I liked about it.:shake:

pay attention to who’s in his av

SvC does not have the DONJON ENGINE so it automatically fails.

your av is missing the other two hidden heads that are in his chest cavity

He got me! :rofl::rofl:

In a world with Capcom vs. SNK 2, there is no reason for anyone to play this game. CvS 2 wasn’t all that great, but its far better than this game. At least there were more than 6 characters that were worth using in CvS 2 and it doesn’t depend on glitch exploitation like SvC Chaos did.

/thread

I have to ask, since I see it mentioned a couple times: How the hell did anyone manage to enjoy SvC even on a casual level? Cause last I checked, SvC has two of the most brutually unfair bosses (Shin Akuma and especially Serious Mr. Karate) I’ve come across in years. And the fact that you couldn’t see the ending unless you beat them without losing a round made for some very frustrating casual fare.

Lol!
