I know it’s hip to hate on this game, but I actually liked it. I didn’t at first. It took a bit of time to warm up to. But after me and my friends played it for a while we actually got into it.
Anyway, more fighting games coming out only helps our scene. Even if you don’t personally like the game, you should appreciate that aspect of it.
I tried playing this shit on 2DF a few months back. The guy who challenged me became legitimately upset when the game crashed. I just told him “maybe damdai’s trying to tell us something” and went about my business.
The answer is no. This game would not just need to be redone, it would have to be turned into something else entirely to bring it up to par. Make NGBC2 instead.
m121akuma is wrong: Cause even in the absence of high profile fighters like SFIV, BB etc., there is no place for shit like SvC. Lone Dragon is right, and SvC has placed its mark in history alright: Barring something on the level of Rise of the Robots 3 or Shaq Fu 2, SvC will forevermore be the end of this sentence: “__________ is the worst fighting game since SvC”.
I think that’s more due to a general lack of interest in MK games by the FG community, and a strong desire to actually legitimize SvC by the SNK community, than the quality of either game.
Yeah on one side you’ve got a bunch of SNK nerds who want to feel special about their skillz trying to legitimize SVC chaos, but on the other hand you’ve got a bunch of dumbasses who want to see subzero pull out catwoman’s spine, which is why that game sold better. I’m not gonna pass judgment on MKvDC cuz I haven’t played it, but sales figures and a bunch of people on the internet getting boners for a game are never a good indicator of what game is better.
I’m sorry. Any game where Mike Tyson can bunch out an alien has to be at least a little fun. That said, I liked SvC Chaos simply because I knew it was a broken piece of shit before I touched it. This made the game much more fun to me as now I could laugh at how badly I was getting stomped by my friend’s Dan
This seems highly unlikly, given the game’s poor critical and commercial appeal I seriously doubt SNK would want to invest anymore time and money especially on the advent of SF4’s release. Unless there was a plan on a "SvC Chaos Re:bout"with updated mechanics and roster…this just doesn’t seem like something that will happen. On the MK note, the MK series has consistently sold better then almost any fighting franchise currently avaible and I’m thinking MK vs DCU will be no exception.
