Roger it will all work out, but like I said we’d need 25 peeps for us to run a tourney and right now we basically DO have that with Garou. However at this point we’re playing it by ear. My bro who was going to help me out on a lot of this shizz won’t be going anymore. He had a rather pleasant surprise that takes precedence over any game tournament. Big hit on it however, I managed to talk to some people at the arcade, big plus. It all comes down to wait and see. Everyone who’s coming just look for some fools with SNK crap happenin and fierceslash t-shirts, or me (see avatar).

if u guys want some warm up matches… there is an arcade (super japan acade) right across the street from Mt. Sac… mt.sac itself is JUST NEWXT TO CAL POLY… so it only takes 2 minutes to get there from calpoly… and they have snk cabinets japnese style… hey maybe u can ask them to rent some cabinets…
anyway yeah they have the newest snk games… hell they even mess with the dip-switches and in 2k3 all the bosses are selecable… :o
Hey Uncauzi, I just wanna say thanks for all the effort man! You’re really doing something special to “revolutionize the competitive SNK gaming scene” in the US. So don’t be discouraged and keep up the good work.

I tried updating the list for you but I probably missed many players. Also keep the lists uniform in srk, s-c, orochinagi, neo-geo and wherever else you got this sign up thread up.
ALSO good luck with finding AES systems and/or getting arcade cabinets etc. Don’t give up cuz you really created quite a stir in the community. Also keep the numbers updated too…your numbers of people signed up for each games are way off. =P Good luck thx laterz.

Damn, thanks bro. I’m just been real busy shooting my film lately. Don’t worry I’m still on top of it. The system thing is a real drag though, this arcade by calpoly sounds promising but it’s off site which would drastically reduce the “walk-ins” that would attend. Is there anyone that lives near Calpoly that could talk to their arcade manager?
Me thinks that eating area with the TV’s may work though, if we can’t get what we want for the lounge…we’ll just Xbox it elsewhere.

Also, I have friends who are fluent in Chinese and I live pretty close the Calpoly. So the question is what exactly do you want to ask the arcade manager? (what do you want to request etc.) I want it verbatim…word for word…seriously.
Another thing, I think finding AES system owners from the people who are coming to this tournament from NG.com shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Maybe the Xbox ports of 2k2/2k3 and SS5/SS5S will be out by late July?
Hey people here representing team K-4 now called team K-FORCE I live about 10min from regency. I’ll be happy to go play with any body to regency in 2k3. I’m sure you guy won’t be disapointed. Right silent wing.
From what I’ve been told, the xbox/ps2 ports aren’t due until November. Verbatim? Eh well, I’ll get Mad on something more official sounding but anyone else that wants to take a shot at it basically the jist is this:
Would be possible for FierceSlash use his your SNK cabinets to run game tourneys on July 29th or 30th. Fierceslash is a sports entertainment group dedicated to setting a standard in competitive SNK fighting game competition. The success of the tournement would be sure to drive more customers to play on your machines and increase traffic throughout the arcade. We would need to switch out some games for the tournament and possibly have a tech on hand.
The question is:
- Can we use his cabinets?
- What would he require for them to be set to free play?
- How much would it be to have a tech on hand?
- What day would be preferable (out of the days Evo is being held)
That would go for calpolys arcade/the chinese arcade. Calpoly being preferable since I’m sure people will have other matches during evo on the official games.

the CAL POLY arcade has SNK cabinets?..the heck?.. where?.. aside from metal slug… i dun see sh!t… the chinese(JAPAN ARCADE)arcade has all snk games… garou… rage of the dragon… numerous metal slugs… numerous KOFs… even 2k3… numerous other lil unknown tittles… SVC…numerous samurai spirits…etc etc etc…
what the heck does calpolyPOMONA have?.. metal slug… and 1945 i think… anything else?:o
Thanks for the info, Mr Wizard suggested talking to the Calpoly Arcade guy, I’ve never been there myself. That’s why I need eyes, ears, and mouths over there to check stuff out.
