Well all is not lost, I’ll be talking with the Pomona arcade in the facility that Evo will be held. There are SNK cabs there and chances are we’ll just bring the MVS carts and get jiggy arcade style.
We’ll take care of it, and as soon as we do we’ll post up.

You’re the only person that said LB2, so I’m not adding it to the list until there’s at least 5 people lol. Don’t get me wrong I think the games neat, just not what I’d call tournament material. I think out of all the games mentioned so far it has the least chance of hitting the 25 participants mark

I think he said $5 or $10 depends on how many ppl show. I have a question-what format will the tournys be ran on? Brackets or round robin,and if it’s brackets,will it be single or double elmination? (if this was answered a few pages back,forgive me I am too lazy to look back):lol:
Where I play if it’s less then 8 pp it’s round robin. It it’s more than 8 ppl,the tourny is ran on regular double elmination brackets.

How about the DC versions (like 98, Garou, and 02)? These should be arcade-perfect, right? Or are there still differences?
98 for DC is not arcade perfect… Combos dont all seem to work(like kyos task over type kinda stuff), i dont think all glitchs are in it ethier(though there is a iori freeze thingy where he freezes you the whole round, which i dunno if thats in arcade version)… Plus some infinites arent there it seems(mais extra infinite i think is it in, but randomly kyos isnt? =/ hrmmm…)
Also the game acctualy looks worse then it does on mvs… Then again its been so long since ive acctualy played the game i guess i cant say for sure for the first part of the post… shrug
I’d like to know about Garou as well. Is it a perfect port or does it have some discrepancies?
I’ve only been playing the DC version up to this point, but I recently played a version of Garou on mame, and it felt noticeably faster. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same experience. Also, I’m very curiuos about 2002 now, since I’ve only played that on DC, too.
The controls on 2002 DC seem off to me. Special moves often just don’t come out, even simple ones like fireballs, so it can be pretty annoying. System-wise it seems the same, but then again I haven’t played it in a while.
98 is pretty awful… its still kof 98, though the screen shakes and hits feel very VERY wierd…
2k2 is alot harder to do shit
and garou is just as fun on the DC as it is on the arcade versions. Though in the emulation scene, theres a preference for the prototype rom, which isnt the same as the final versions, since timing was tweaked… still more precise than 98
and 2k2 on ps2 rocks… at least it feels more fluid/just as bad as the dc version
Actually, the Garou I played on emu was the final version… and not the prototype. Did anyone happen to notice any differences btwn this version and the DC version aside from me?
