GUYS LISTEN TO ME. I’ll lead this thing and organize it myself if that’s what it takes to make this happen.
Some difficulties like the ones we just had were to be expected given our objective. No big deal. So no more arguing or flaming. Lovelessemotion and others, if you can help out in putting up the posters where the socal kof comp exists then I’d be REALLY grateful.
The best option to get the most people involved is for everyone who’s interested (that means those who signed up and those who haven’t) to just SHOW UP!!!
That’s ALL we really need to make this happen.
What we want, where we prefer…blah blah…none of that really matters. What matters is are you coming to play? Do you want to be a part of something special and do this thing? I can help in setting up the rules like double elimination or whatever.
Everyone just show up to the designated meeting area (I think it was the Evo lounge) by the noon of 7/30/2004. Are you coming to Evo? Do you want some SNK competition? Then please just show up! And bring all your friends. Whether we end up playing casual or tournament is not even the important issue. The important thing is are we gonna get some comp going?
We officially now have both the option of Xbox AND Super Arcade for all the games we chose. So please everyone just show up and we’ll take it from there and see what happens. Don’t back out now cuz of something like what kind of sticks. We’ll see what everyone wants and go for consoles or arcade. Hell, we can even split up and some people can go for arcade and some can use consoles. Although I’d rather that we stay together. So come, play, and represent. Enough with the arguing. Sorry I canot post everyday but I have no internet acces from home and my free time i rather spended at the arcade.
Well if I remember Tuesday I posted that I was going to meet with accord at SA and nobody showed up but Accord and I. It was kind of disapointing, but Im willing to help out and Im going to bring all my systems just in case. By the way sorry to say it but the sticks at SA arcade are a piece of shit the buttons get stuck in the middle of the match. It would be better to do it in the Xbox and let everybrody bring whatever the hell they feel better playing with.
Come on guys lets get ourshit together and show everybody how the every body how the snk scene is here so-cal. Lets all work together to make this TOURNAMENT happen not “casual play” I really would like to see where each of us stand here in cali and really see who is the best and in “casual play” that wont be very clear.

1 Print quality posters (freind works at Kinkos gets shit mad cheap)
2 Make a big assed banner to fly.

Oh and believe me Loveless’ comment was just icing on the cake, what made me sound so blase was the emails I recieved cancelling. But yeah you guys are right, there’s a whole lot of SNK players out there in SoCal I don’t know about.
Yes, I was thinking about the “american” community. No doubt that the asian community is strong in that department. But in all honesty, I’m glad that you guys are finally stepping up and actually trying to do something about it other than blaming Uncauzi for not doing anyting…You guys makes my eyes all watery and shit…glad to have to guys back on the team. I just got an okay from my parents to be back for Evo. I can bring my DC but the only game I have is Last Blade 2. And after tons of phone calls to my friends, and to my friend’s friend, I manage to get a copy of Samurai showdown 2 for AES( this thing us HUGE!). So I guess it would be a good idea to bring the AES system. It looks like XTG only has one controller for AES, so I guess I’m going to buy a neo geo joystick from ebay just for this tournament and sell it back afterwards;) Anybody has any idea how much I should pay for a neo geo joystick? I dont want to get ripped off. I’m thinking if we can use a legit copy of a game, then do so, games like kof2003 and SS0 can be done on X-box. So here is the list of all the games we have…

I’ll also bring both DC version and PS2 version for KOF 2k2. I hear PS2 version is slightly better so I plan on getting that before Evo.
I’m also bringing my stick that works for PS2, DC, and Xbox. So everyone bring everything you can bring to help out…including your favorite sticks if you have any.
Oh and Unc, KabukiMono signed up for MOTW on page 10 but he’s not on the list yet. (just trying to help out)

P.S. I don’t know if any of you know this or not but when I say I’m busy I’m not bullshitting. I work in the film/video business and this means long hours editing or being on sets. When I’m not doing that I’m managing my real estate shit. In other words just because you don’t hear from me doesn’t mean I’m not on top of it.
I’m just trying to be helpful. Anyhow, I’ll keep looking and post more of what I find. I hope you find something super nice and cheap. Good luck.
EDIT: Oh yeah, XTG mentioned something about adding a NeoGeo cord to his MAS stick about 2 pages ago. So I don’t know if that means we have 2 AES sticks or one…why not ask and check with XTG? Just a heads up. Btw, I’ll be bringing a stick that works for DC, PS2, and Xbox.
Hey that adaptor will work on sticks to but they have to be with a single conection, meaning that it will not work with your universal stick:( trust me I know because I own a PS,Xbox,GC, stick and it doesn’t work in any adapter. It may be the best way to lets just hope there will be enough single port PS2 sticks.
Oh, my stick is not a universal stick. It’s a PS2 stick. I just have adapters for DC and Xbox. LOL. Thanks anyways though. =) Oh, and as for the meeting I have church on Sunday afternoon…how about like 3:30 PM this Sunday? And are we meeting at SA?
I work on sunday but I get off like around 4 and how about if we meet at yogis arcade is like SA the games use the exact same tokens plus they are 360. It located in chapma and harbor, I think is in the city of Anaheim, Orange County how does that sound. I usually post at the ICE cafe on Brookhurst and chapman just in case anybody might catch me here.

The first time I ever played a KOF game was at Yogi’s and it was 96. Anyways, yeah Yogi’s sounds great although I live in Irvine. If you get off work at 4 pm then when do you wanna meet? And who else is coming? (Accord, Loveless etc. are you guys coming too?)
