Cool, thanks. I’ll do my own lab work as well, we’ll compare notes. I love DOrm with the Mag beam and need to find someone besides Dante who can be just as dirty (So far using Wesker). I gave Wolverine about 5 minutes last night, but as I’m now thinking of joining the dark side and just doing Wolve Dorm Akuma, I’d rather see if the Mag beam plan can work first.

Imo though, magneto’s disruptor assist does not compliment wolvie very well if you’re a combo guy.
Mixups however, they are 2 very dangerous allies.
Mixup is precisely what I’m after! I guess I’ve always felt theoretically, I don’t mind having to hit you twice if you can’t block me lol that’s great, can u tell me what they entail?? I’m assuming call mag, immediately berz slash behind xx berz charge is one, but anything beyond that I’m extremely excited to see!

I figured the beam would be unusable mid combo because it would be used to trick them into allowing the combo to start (a la Dorm, the 2nd on the team, and his teleports). Its kinda shady to record mixups imo…(i can do a million crossups on a non moving opponent)
I’ll tell ya a secret…I amost never use berserker charge. I’ll tell ya why.
- you cant gain any meter
- it gives you a lil speed/strength boost, but more times than most you have to end your combo with fatal claw.
That’s just too much meter usage for me. Our styles might be a lil different because of that.
Queston: why wolvie?
There’s plenty other aggressive characters.
I got accused/cussed out because i use wolverine and he happens to be one of the best in this game. People can be so annoying sometimes.

When he gets nerfed (which he will) I will still main him.
Anyways, because magneto’s assist is so fast you cannot use berserker slash as a crossup.
The only one that comes to mind right now is if you do an air combo…(S-jump-M-M-L-H-Drill Claw-d.H) land, L+magneto assist, dash to other side and do whatever floats your boat.

So if we assume akuma on anchor, do we have an idea now what wolvie’s best welcome setup is? I’ve seen a few, like drill claw up fwd to divekick (which seems to whiff sometimes), I’ve seen justin do something off a jH (not too sure the rest of this setup), I’ve seen pr rog go for a “meaty” dive kick (meaty as in he seems to want to already be on his way down whe it connect). I’m just not sure which I should be going for nor the optimal sequence when I land. I always assumed it was cL+assist(usually tatsu) into the normal cL vs jL mixup, plus I know he’s got some kind of trap with berz slash, etc etc.
Basically I have an idea about the ideas, but don’t know a specific sequuence or which approach(es) is/are optiized. Wolverine master, I see you do the back dash into slash thing to cause a flinch, but ure also using the grav assist. Without that I’m not sure if the dash back to slash would work on air dashers -shrug-

Changes in bold, I know this why? because my team consists of dr.doom and wolvie
Doom’s plasma beam also combos after df+m. I do standard bnb into doom, df+m, berserker barrage xx bbx right now myself. How many hits is shield because beam is almost always 8 and scales my combos so bad.
Also, anyone doing berserker slash xx berserker change combos in tac’s into relaunches to build meter + damage or do you prefer to just leave in wolvy?
I think it pretty much comes down to preference.
I’m still in love with early x factor with my Wolvie/Dante so if I can, I leave him in. I think doing tac’s is really good play because of the ridiculous meter build, plus the fact that a lot of people still don’t expect them. Plus, hitting people when your combo drops from hit stun scaling since they’re mashing in fear of another TAC is amazing.
Any video of this? I don’t see how you can drill claw jH drill claw and the up drill claw it

Just finished my first Combo Video. It features my team’s BnBs (Wolverine/Sentinel/Phoenix). It also features many combo video features that I wanted to see in all combo videos:
- shows input, damage, meter gain (both sides),
- has full combo descriptions in the details,
- has annotations that link to shorter videos of just the combo being performed so that others may more easily refer to and practice just the specific combo they are interested in seeing.

ya this thread should be revived. due to the hitstun/damage nerf to throws in this game, i feel like unless you have the meter and your super/dhc is going to kill the character off a throw, you should be looking for resets after throws every time (this goes for a lot of charcaters now if you ask me)
Also whenever it does get updated. Please change the name for ‘plink’ dashing. That is really confusing, because in reality it is called a kara-dash. And if it isn’t a kara-dash, then I still don’t understand what the frick it is.
