I don’t know if this has been suggested ever before, but I started doing it with pretty high success the last couple of days.
Basically, just super-jump up and then teleport so that you are directly above your opponent when you reappear.
From there, do the d+RK drill down onto their heads.
I’m not quite sure the dynamics, but it’s not only a surprise, it’s a bitch to block and gets you a free hit, and you’re in mad close so you can throw also.
That won’t work…Dhalsim’s teleport is so goddamn slow, and the opponent can just block the drill no problem.
Well, it’s not perfect, but like I said, I’ve been pretty successful with it so far. With regards to the slowness of the teleport, the opponent doesn’t know where you’re going to reappear until you do it to them a few times. Even then, you can appear on either side of them. After you reappear, you can start your drill kick pretty much right away.
And even if they block it, you can do a close-range poking series, building some meter and giving you the momentum.
omg, you’re a ninja!
2 words, raging storm …
yeah dhalsims tele is a good move to abuse. that trick sounds kool
if u mean rock, isnt it raising a storm??
He meant Geese.
It’s raising storm.
I really only use his teleport to escape from being cornered
Ya otherwise I think teleport kinda sucks. I wish they could’ve given him more invincibility frames.
I think you should teleport as often as you can get away with it. C groove especially. It lets Sim jump around for free almost. Jump backwards (do nothing), teleport backwards 1 inch from the ground, there is very little opportunity to counter because everytime you tele, the opp. should be guessing (did he go left or right) and since you recover low to the ground, you can COMBO them as you recover. WHen you get a knockdown, mix up this
- either slow jump crossup forward kick
- pretend to do this and teleport at the last second.
- drill with RH so you hit them from the front, mix up either making it hit meaty, or JUST missing, then throw or d/b fierce
This is just one simple mixup, you can make it up as you go. I think you need to mix the tele in as much as possible because it freezes up the opponent more and BAITS lots of reversals.
Say you throw a jab FB from faraway, then jump, and somehow they got hit by the FB this is a knockdown, so air teleport towards them and you’ll land on them as they getup. There’s risk, but this is the kind of thing that makes Dhalsim fun to use.
Using ratio 4 dhalsim is a good way to get better at him as well.
OMG, this is awesome. I’m gonna teleport drill all day and win evo.
Why did you guys bring this useless thread back from the dead?
I know! Please let this thread die, lol.
How can you not acknowledge this toppest tier strat?
