yeah, but have you tried it on weed?
Hey Geo, does that tier list reflect only N.Characters?
I bet that O.Sagat is being used in that tier list.
Also, is Sagat vs Sim really that bad? Jesus.
All props should go to nohoho who posted it originally here: super nohoho fighter ii x: Super Turbo - New Arcadia Diagram
(edit to say: it looks like it’s N characters only.)
N.Sagat yeah… it’s pretty much a lost cause.
Sim vs O.sagat would probably be 7-3, certainly winnable.
This is true right here, you should always go into match thinking you will win no matter who the opponent’s character is or the opponent himself…I still need some work on that, i seem to play differently when it comes to players i know that are good…A good example was win i was playing a Guile player named To13go13, i was dominating the room, i beat the Guile player 4 times in a row…Then one of the players sent me a message, wow your gief is good did you know that’s the top Guile player from Japan on xbl…I was surprise but after he told me i loss to him 5 straight & i couldn’t beat him…No sure i psych myself out or he just figured me out…
I don’t think it’s as bad as 9-1 but it’s certainly one of the worst matches in the game, maybe even 8-2.
9-1? damn that’s terrible. I just don’t believe in tiers.
I would say tiers exist, but certainly not in the “two high level players at best of 10” format, at least not objectively in any way.
Sorry geo, that tier list is not as true as gravity.
Tiers aren’t significant because the vast majority of players have a long way to go before they reach that limit. If you can’t perform to the ratio of what the top JP players’ matchup chart lists (or better) against every player/character combination you meet (without exception), then the chart doesn’t apply to you.
And making up your own chart is like deciding which of 16 skyscrapers along a city street is taller when there’s heavy fog outside and you can only access the first 5 floors of each. It’s fun to see what players’ opinions are but rather than blindly following those and resigning yourself to losing matchups, everyone’s goal should be to prove them wrong by prevailing where previous opinions failed. Imagine yourself in 1994: http://curryallergy.blogspot.com/2009/06/future-kick-your-ass-gamest-diagram.html
Anyway, one thing I’m curious about the mm here: has it been established that this will actually be a Dhalsim-Zangief matchup or does Snake Eyez have surprises in store?
LOL at Dee Jay being top tier at +18 and Cammy only being -8…
Also, is it bad that I ate an entire loaf of my wife’s chocolate chip banana bread while my students were taking a test this morning? Just curious…
I agree with Shirts.
There are inherit weaknesses in character designs versus other characters ( a la tier chart), but its really the player is who actually wins the match. Komoda Blanka any one?

that shit is crazy o sagat is broken
Also, Justin Wong is actually a pretty damn good player.
I wonder what surprises i have in store. I’m looking forward to the match though.
props, I laughed
anyone going to Level|Up Presents Southern California Regionals
Yeah, tier lists exist. But if we all believed in tier lists to the letter, we’d all be using the same characters, in general. I’ve beaten Hondas at major tourneys before using Cammy in ST. Granted, I knew the match up better than them, but still, that match-up isn’t rocket science. So you still gotta try and win however you can, and keep in mind that I’m the person that rated the match-up 10-0 in Honda’s favor in classic ST.
Also, one thing I think was left off in fatboy’s analysis that has made him significantly stronger in HDR is the abbreviated SPD motion. I think people underestimate how HUGE that is for Gief. Being able to SPD with only a half-circle is HUGE, IMO (and that half circle is Down/Forward to Up/Back or Down/Back to Up/Forward). It became a MUCH superior reactionary move with that code. You can play defensive more (sitting on Down-Back) and get an SPD with reactions (going to Up/Forward). It’s almost like a Razor Kick, and given how easy it is for Gief not to Jump first by accident, you get more speed on the SPD than ever before. This simply was not possible before. I think it’s the most underrated change Zangief got. SPD motions in a pinch have never been this potent before.
