He has no Spiral moves, unfortunately. Trick Shot would be sexy for this game.

Kalina Ann + Spiral gunslinger mode is pretty badass, launch and juggle with spiral’s crazy combo, snag with grapple then plant Kalina in their face for some hysterics.
Dante’s prop shredder is gonna mostly be used as a second launcher, since it can only be used by canceling his charge shots. I’ve already thought about using dante’s prop shredder in place of his standard launcher in some combos. I’ll be trying out a lot of new dante combos, and some of them I think have a pretty good chance of working. If I’m right about a few, they’ll be his new BnB combos, even better than the “marn” combo everyone sees now. That is of course, assuming I get into the San Fransisco tournament.
The only time I saw prop shredder done was when he was in DT form.
How do you perform prop shredder?
Mash E during one of his charge shots. so you would mash C then mash E to cancel into prop shredder.
Dante has like 40 moves, if virgil was in the game it would make sense for him to have as much as well, therefore a Dante/Virgil duo would be like almost unfair because they have tools for EVERY PURPOSE.
I just watched that video of Keith talking about dante’s moves, keith didn’t even show half of dante’s move sets and regardless it was like Dante is equipped with every single tool.
If Vergil was in he wouldn’t have 40+ moves.
Remember Dante is using 5 weapons and 4 guns Vergil would be using 3 weapons and 1 gun (summoned swords) and they are using moves straight from DMC3, Vergil has less moves than Dante in it. Unless the created some moves just for this game.
Yea thats not necessarily true, yes capcom could decide to go the dante route and load virgil with a ton of moves similar to dante but i doubt they would if they included him. I can see virgil being more of a keep-away or a weapon switcher like ammy. Of course this is all my opinion so its not necessarily true either, all im trying to point out is just because virgil plays similar to dante in dmc 3 doesn’t mean he will do that same in this game, i mean look at x-23 and she-hulk, both look like clones on paper but play completely different from their male counter parts.
So if those who have played wat would your list look like for pros and cons for Dante im curious.
Off speculation heres mine.
Pros: Tons of moves, Great Assist/Normals, Nice BnBs, One of the top point characters.
Cons: Below avg health, Complicated playstyle, Bad Lv 3, One Useful super, Easy to adapt to , and possibly terrible by himself (not a clutch character)
Honestly Dante should be a point character no matter wat team hes on. And he should not be the last member on the team. Plus Im willing to bet he will have a handful of really, really bad matchups.
What I bolded, is just…no. Complicated playstyle, not really. He’s only as complicated as you make him. You can seriously live off the Marn Combo and Teleporting, and he’d be effective.
Bad Level 3 my ass. Easy to combo into, and it does good damage, and with three meters, people can’t random shit out on you on the ground or he can tag them.
One Useful Super, also wrong. All of his Hypers are very useful. Not enough people are using Devil Trigger tbqh. Damage and Defense increase, and he heals health. That plus X-Factor makes him an absolute monster.
Easy to adapt to, not really. If you use basic Dante, sure. If you actually put in the work for Dante, he can do SO MUCH CRAP to you. Good luck adapting to 40 moves.
Terrible by himself…not really. Though even then, it’s a team game. Playability by himself should not be a factor.
So what would you say are his weaknesses? Just curious?
I understand its a team game but like I said its speculation. I was trying to say he looks like he should always be point n not the last member due to his stamina thats all. I just dont think Dante is capable of comebacks. Thanks, though. Cant wait to hear other facts and opinions on the latest build of Dante.
