Well, if teleport is good enough(meaning quick recovery, not telegraphed enough to be anti-aired on reaction, etc.) I guess it could substitute a standing overhead if he doesn’t have one.

As for Marn’s comment, I think it’s going to hold SOME value to it. After all, nothing deeper besides X-Factor’ed 100%, Instant Air-Dashing, and Tri-Jumps have been discovered. When stuff like resets, unblockables, X-Factor-less 100% stuff start popping up we’ll see where Dante and the whole cast stands.

Lol thanks. Some guy compiled a list of Dante’s new moves with general descriptions of what they did during the EVO build, I justed fixed some of the descriptions and added the move names. I can’t even remember who the original poster of the list was… but whoever he is, thanks/props.

Just use Dantes missles to cover the teleport. If they press a button to hit the port then the missles will hit them and Dante should get a free combo.
Obviously Wesker has better teleports. Thats his thing. If Dante’s were anywhere near as good as Weskers, then there’d be no reason to even have Wesker. Weskers are essentially instant from what we’ve seen/been told be S-kill.

Dante’s team will probably revolve around either low attack assists to make his approach unblockable, or projectiles that make his teleports into a cross-up.
Anyway, it’s really interesting to think about 100% combos with no X-Factor. If you don’t need X-Factor to 100% your opponent, then that means people will probably be using it more as a defensive measure than an offensive one as we all learn the game.
I didn’t really explain myself well, on it’s own the port is pretty predictable, but in the scope of everything else he has it seems like it should get the job done really well. Obviously they’re not going to be as tits as Wesker’s though.
Now that I look at them more, the teleports do seem slightly telegraphed. If you can just anti air them on reaction then it will probably be bad.
Its like a portal or aura pops up wherever the tele is. Unless distracted, WE BLOCK THOSE!
Obviously Dante’s teleport wouldn’t be as good as Wesker’s. That’s wesker’s thing.
But when you consider Dante’s entire arsenal, the fact that he even -has- a teleport is pretty tits n’ ass.
