Contrary to popular belief, I am all about local play. But I actually have alot of fun online, because its not too serious. This league has been great because we are exploring other parts of smash that high competitive play doesnt. More stages and now items. We should do time and coin matches also. Maybe doubles.
But I wanna get more ppl involved.

If I happen to pop on while people are playing, I’ll happily play friendlies, but I can’t guarantee it will be that often.

This is like the 5th league we’ve asked for it because people cant remember the rules.
If you put it with the match ups, people are more likely to remember
It’s also the 5th league where the rules have been in the OP, and it’s still too difficult for people to check there. Forget the fact that SOME people in here can’t even be assed to read the thread before posting wondering if their opponent is gonna be ready. If you think that cluttering the matchup post is gonna help, you crazy. 
Why force people to look at two pages when setting up a match? It’s easier engraved into people’s heads when they see everything on one page instead of two. It’s easier to retain info that way.
It’s also easier when clicking on the title of the thread goes to the last page automatically, which is usually where the match ups are
By adding it to the match ups post, you’re taking away an extra step of thinking

Boom, done. Ill even help make google sheet documents for item rank and stage list so that all you have to do is copy and paste that template each match up change. It’s not hard, it’s clean and doesnt require people to keep changing pages.
I’ll add to this more. When you see a table of contents where is it? Beginning of the book in one spot. All ideas for learning something new in a text book? A whole section of a book, in one spot.
I could go on but when cg lists the match ups, he’s not providing us with all the details in one spot and makes us go find them. This isnt user friendly and its why we keep having confusion. Making a template for the rules to go with the match ups makes it much more user friendly and it doesnt clutter up the match ups post at all. He’s the TO, everything should be readily available after 1 click. If we have any questions to what is going on, it’s not user friendly enough.

Would you prefer I link the rules at announcement and that alone? So that you have to go back through the thread to some random page to find them? ‘Page 1’ is the easiest page to search from a numbers standpoint because it is the only one that is always present as a search option. If I made the comment on page 12, you’d be upset at having to go dig, and wouldn’t be certain for sure if it was even on page 12.
