Because it isn’t. If someone’s good, they’re good. Age doesn’t matter. I was beating good players in Stronghold: Crusader back when I was 10 and getting top 10 lap times in racing games online when I was 14-15: age had nothing to do with it, I just knew what I was doing.*
If anything, all it is is an option select. Not unlike what Dre does with his whole “I don’t take this game seriously” shtick.
*I know those probably aren’t the best comparisons but it’s the best I had on short notice.

Manie is actually really good.
Kids tend to have better reaction times and are very flexible in their thought processes, allowing them to adapt more quickly than us old people who are set doing things a certain way.
Manie is really good because I took him into my bootcamp. If only you guys would listen.

- Age does not mean ability (compare Po, Cyntalan, me to LW and Davidstar)
- Manie and Dre have a slight advantage in that they can adapt to ASS lag better than those not familiar.

That presents a problem then if we’re supposed to get it all done in one day.
If Davidstar doesn’t have another day off work this week and CG doesn’t allow us to play over the course of a couple days I may have to forfeit then: as I mentioned before, I can’t go past 10:30 and Davidstar’s schedule doesn’t really match up with mine. Today being one of the few exceptions apparently.
