Iād normally be totally fine with booing the bayonetta players. However, at this point the game is going to be basically dead inā¦ what, four months? If they want their last moment in the spotlight to be bayo mirrors, Iād say they can have it. Itās seriously not even worth the energy to hate on her at this point, not when Smash 5 will presumably fix the problem.
Smash fans are the worst. Half the crowd straight up left when Captain Zack beat Nietono.
Even if Bayo is a dumb character, the players are still putting on a great show.
And then whatever the fuck that was just happened.
I believe Zack was hostile (back) to the crowd, so the most simple explanation possible is that he discussed it with his fellow competitor and agreed to troll the system.
But of course until they make an statement its hard to guess,many options. Although amusing, still hating on them, shameful display, making a joke out of the final.

Akhos pretty much describes everything I was feeling last night while watching that. People feel like they canāt beat the character so they boo people who use her? What kind of shit is this? And then they didnāt make it better by trolling the last time 4 was going to be on the stage for Evo. I really hope more people from the FGC actually take part in Ult so fucking scrubs can get put in their place.
bayo is a legitimate problem to the gameās health. Iād care more if it wasnāt going to be dead in 4 months.

Part of the problem is that surviving bayoās bullshit requires players learn some pretty non-obvious stuff. At least with most characters you know whatās going on. With bayoā¦ well.
That said, I do feel it was high time the community either banned bayo or developed a counter-meta to her. I would have preferred the latter, would have accepted the former.
What they pulled just now is a fucking embarrassment and should be the final blow to any legitimacy they had.

Basically, on top of being a nightmare of a character, MK could also stall out the game forever through two separate means. One was a glitch (infinite Dimensional Cape) and one was ledge staling using glide. They elected to ban the methods instead
There was counter-meta to her. And then Bayos developed counter-counter meta. Which is all the more proof why she doesnāt(didnāt) need a ban, since with the truly egregious character, they never got that far

I suppose so. At the end of the day thereās only so much energy Iām going to devote to bayo though, because smash 4 is going to be dead in a few months.
Still, what happened here is an absolute joke. Hopefully this incident will make lots of companies think long and hard before associating with the smash community.

Iām mostly excited about this but it felt like such a cruel tease seeing it live.
What are you guys expecting? Iām hoping for more info on non-demo characters, two stages, and one reveal. One of the Belmonts IMO
Thatās a pretty reasonable spread, CG. I think you have the basic formula down and the only serious difference will be in the numbers and nouns.
One reveal, at most two, for character(s). Realistic guess is a Belmont. Wishful thinking but still possible guess is Shovel Knight. āWHOA! Seriously?!ā reveal would be Geno.
A stage or two sounds reasonable.
Probably show off some adjustments to online play or an offline mode too.
Theyāll show off some game adjustments, a few new items and such, maybe even a bit of music.
The biggest difference in my prediction from yours is I think theyāll discuss a bit of a schedule, albeit in vague tones. āStay tuned for (X)ā, where (X) is another Direct in (Y) amount of time (say, another month or two).
Bare minimum, I expect some footage of New Donk City stage. Anything else is up to the whims of Sakurai.
Ideally Iād love to see more info on returning characters (Y Link, Wolf, etc) and get another reveal. Even though Iād love a Belmont, I expect another Nintendo IP for this Direct.
Best guess is either an ARMS rep (my pick is Ribbon Girl) or Max from XC2.
