Secondly, how long did it take for people to find out how to effectively use Venom beyond [ball seisei, P]xN from fullscreen? Judging anything at this point is pretty ridiculous. Nobody has any idea of ‘real’ strategies or combos yet.
Parasoul has the tears, which:
Only go away without exploding if you get hit or thrown.
Can be placed at any location on the screen with toss/hold button/release button, and can’t be interfered with while placed.
Explode 1.5 sec after being placed.
Once set, can be manually detonated from anywhere by using Napalm Trigger (charge D,U+WK/MK).
Can be shot, which hits as it travels, and a successful impact will place a tear at that location.
You tell me whether putting something basically whereever you want, that you can detonate when you want (and which otherwise can’t be stopped aside from hitting you) sounds like an effective zoner with practice. (^.^)

I noticed on the stream that you can juggle a downed opponent and while they are in the combo the next character cant come in. Is it possible that some characters might have an air loop to keep the opponents dead body in infinite suspension and running the clock out, since a downed opponent cant use the IPS?
-Why is the detonate/stomp motion a charge? Is/was it too strong when just a normal circular motion? What’s the reasoning behind limiting the use of the detonate feature?
-Is there any chance we’ll see her get some sort of extra slow projectile? I’d love to see a tear variation that moves forward about as fast as normal walk speed.
-Do tears disappear on throw tech? If you have three placed, does detonation make them go off simultaneously or in sequence?
-I feel that the automatic explosion timer is quick enough to limit the effectiveness, but again, I haven’t *actually played the game. *Were there experiments done with longer lengths?
-Is there a chance of her being able to cancel some specials or certain situations using the soldier call? Or can you cancel stomp into itself fast enough to combo three tear explosions (almost like Rolento’s grenade super)?
Keep up the discussion, guys, I really enjoy seeing everyone’s thoughts on her as she’s one I’m looking forward to the most. Try to keep the flames to a minimum, though.

And in the first EVO build the tears didn’t explode automatically at all and what just stay on screen. I think it was said that people didn’t find much use for them when they were just sitting there and so Mike changed it and said the feedback was positive. At least that’s what i recall any way.
Having the tears explode automatically opens up more options though, especially as use for an assist since you are able to keep attacking and you’ll know when the tear will explode.
