Looking at the stream now and it’s great. Mike Z? Do you know when Ms.Fortune is going to be revealed? Can’t wait to see some gameplay! EXCITE!!!
One thing I’m noticing from reading characters and the main plot, is that this game world feels pretty dismal. Let’s see, Peacock was raped and mutilated by slave owners, Ms Fortune was tortured and dismembered, and Squigly was brutally murdered. It really is kind of interesting how pretty the game and how sort of cartoonish the characters look, yet its set in a realistically brutal world. It’s a very nice change of pace from the generic, anime-ish plots usually seen in fighting games.
I’m sure you might not be able to answer this, but will story mode be voiced, or will it be just text? I can understand if not, since it would take a while to voice all the characters for the whole thing, but it would be neat.
I’m just going to assume BlazBlue was included or perhaps exclusively inferred to here and say that BB has just as much fucked up shit going on lol

I did play through BB story mode, and I didn’t notice anything THAT bad in it. It wasn’t a happy world, I agree, IDK, didn’t really like it anyway, so whatever.
Even if Peacock wasn’t raped, it says she was mutilated so badly that she was unrecognizable, and that’s why she she had to be rebuilt in a lab. That alone sounds worse than anything I remember in BB. The world feels a lot more realistic in that way, where BB was more of a fantasy fiction world.

plus i love how these days a lot of people throw “generic” to talk about things that they dont like, didnt you have read how many haters describe skullgirls as a “generic” animu ripoff

So going back to a few posts back… If you made Fillia’s skin darker you wouldn’t need to give her an afro. Technically, Samson is like a wig of sorts and not her actual hair. Plus a lot of women straighten their hair. Make her skin darker and she’s fine as she is.
Although an actual black character would be nice. I’m a little scared, though, since black stereotypes in the 1930’s involved cartoons in blackface…

I know whatever characters Alex has imagined will be the bomb. Not like the game story is suppose to be taking place in our universe anyway, it’s all imagined from him. He can have anyone look like anything he wishes and the thought of that excites me, probably more than it should.
