Welp, if I remember correctly, Steam said that if a community member made hats and items for SkullGirls, they would distribute them as preorder bonuses or whatever.
Sooo, I decided to try my hand at making something. Now, I’ve never modeled before, only manipulated models from stuff like Jedi Academy, but I am somewhat familiar with maya and max.
So far I have a rough oddly proportioned model of Valentine’s hat which I made in Sketchup, which I can then send to 3ds Max to unwrap and texture etc.
I’d love to do a number of items, like a hat that is Double’s nun habit, one that is Vice-versa with tiny arms, Val’s bonesaw for the medic, Krieg for the Scout and even Demo and Soldier.
But I doubt I’ll get very far with my current knowledge.
Luckily I have tons of time on my hands at the moment, so hopefully i’ll learn how to model and get some of these made. AT LEAST the Val hat, as even if I do make these items, I doubt valve will give them all away.
There are quite a few threads dedicated to item modeling in the TF2 forums. Perhaps you should ask the forum members for help. They might teach you a thing or two about making TF2 items.

In regards to Dota skins, if i can figure out how to do them id be down. Though really i guess it depends on if valve is willing to still give away hats and stuff. hope im not wasting my time lol
The Pyro’s one hat is similar to Fillia’s or Umbrella’s hat, and the Ghastly Top Hat whatever it’s called is similar to Peacock’s hat. So that’s something!
But yeah, I fully support some nifty Skullgirls items in TF2. There’s a ton of items that could get in. 9 characters (including Marie) 9 classes in TF2. Should work!
OO now this would be difficult for me but maybe a Fortune head pin? And I was Thinking also maybe a Skull heart one Hell you could do a pin for all of the character’s emblems, but the way I see it, if valve accepts any of my items, it’ll probably only be like 1 to 3 of them, so I guess I gotta choose wisely what to spend time on.
