I’m assuming he just meant colour unlocks.
Steam da bess.
Bad dev team for being laid off by Reverge. Now give us PC owners free dlc to make up for the delays that were completely out of your hands. >___>
Frankly I think that the DLC colors SHOULD be free from a consumer standpoint. From a fan who wishes to support the game I’d buy them.
Plus remember, Reverge and Lab Zero don’t own the Skullgirls rights. Autumn Games does, and while I’m not sure how the money is split I’m sure that a large potion of the costs are absorbed by Autumn Games and a large portion of the revenue from the DLC goes to Autumn Games
I don’t think that the DLC characters should be free (especially since they haven’t been MADE yet.) I do wish that they’d find some way to create a “Season Pass” deal with both fans and their publisher to make sure that a certain amount of content will be paid for by both fans and the publisher will see there is interest. Like sell each individual character for 6.99-8.99 when they are released but offer a season pass for 20$ that says “you will get Panzer, Squigly, Umbrella as soon as their are available for download, as well as all their color packs.”
Basically save the fan like 20% off the final price if they had bought everything individually because they willingly put their cash up front sight unseen.
I was talking about the dlc colors, not the dlc characters.
Asking for that to be free is too much…
Asking for the DLC colours to be free is also too much.
Thats why I am asking for a extra to make up for delays. X-box 360 and PS3 can complain about lack of patch but can still play the game. Who is waiting for the pc version can do nothing…
Vulpes is correct. You aren’t entitled to anything, Saikyou. You deserve Skullgirls once it’s finished and you’ve paid money for it. Nothing more. The PC version was always a high priority on their list of things to do, but consoles come first for a variety of reasons. The game wouldn’t get publisher backing without a console release, and many would say the patch was very necessary. Since Skullgirls is a niche title, they have to do everything in their power to keep development alive and funded without compromising the actual game. This means console development as a priority over PC.
However, there are tons of reasons to include the DLC colours with a PC release. One is that the market for palette unlocks is a dead one, and just having them a thing in a PC game builds a lot of ire in potential customers. Two, it makes a nice bullet point on the storefronts. Three, there’s a lot to gain by making it available for purchase, and handing it out free as a pre-order bonus. This gives fans a chance snag them au gratis, and pulls in prospective buyers… but again… the ire.
Maybe a little price reduction can be fine, a lot of Ports do that.
If this was a 45$ game charging 15$ for DLC I’d say: Yes, a price reduction could be something to think about But the game costs 15$ and the DLC 5.
It’s already way too cheap. Calling for price reductions when you get a full game for 15 bucks already is nothing short of retarded.
I was saying only 2$ or 1$ price reduction, its not the first time a game with a price of 15$ on consoles arrives on PC do that and I said “maybe”.
You two are negotiating potential PC price reductions for a game that will never see a PC release. You can put away the calculators.
Yes, with only one guy working on it, great priority…
Whatever, I am just releasing some steam, I want the game!
Some of you make me sick to my stomach.
The fact that some of you think you’re entitled to something super special because you’re a PC gamer (poor things) is annoying enough, but it’s that you’re playing the victim card when you know the literal HELL AND SUFFERING the guys went through and are still going through to bring this game to you and they aren’t asking for anything but your time and patience. You should be fucking ashamed of yourself to ask for anything, greedy, selfish, undeserving little shits.
Who needs a marketing department when you can count on adolescent player agency.
Who needs fans when they’ve got you?
Three cheers, come have some pigs in a blanket everyone~
PC gamers get to mod the game.
Edit: official or not, people will mod it.
As a PC gamer, they make me sick.
Hell, as a PC gamer I understand patience: Valve is my favorite game company; I can wait for releases.
Seriously, why are you guys so impatient? Lab Zero is tiny. It hasn’t even been a year since the console version was released - Super Street Fighter IV took over a year to be released on PC, and I’m pretty sure Capcom has dozens of programmers.
With two programmers in total working on the game, yeah, that does seem to be a pretty high priority.
You mad bro? It’s already pretty much free.
what he said.
as a pc gamer, i am kind of disgusted by people talking about stuff like dlc colors, makin stuff cheaper etc. I’ve already been waitin for this game for pretty much the better part of a year. if they release it AT ALL at any point in my life on pc (the only platform that i unfortunately have available to me) i’d be the happiest plant on earth.
