Will different vendors offer different palettes, or should I just preorder this shiznite now?
I would not be surprised if there are some sort of TF2 incentives on the Steam release. Especially if the game will have steamworks. I could see it now. The Heavy would have an item that makes his arms look like Vice-Versa’s (Cerebella’s Hat). The Pyro would have Painwheel’s Mask. The medic would get Val’s eye patch as a misc item. The Spy would get something Double related. The Soldier/Sniper would get an Egret Mask and helm. (with the Snipers reading “Juju #13”) The Scout could get Fortune’s and/or Fillia’s hair style. Then the Demoman/Engineer would get something Peacock/Marie related. I’m not sure.
Of course that would more ambitious than how things would actually go. But I wouldn’t be surprised if at least one of those things happened.
Thats a great idea, but sadly last news about that is that Valve rejected to have a TF2 promo with Skullgirls, maybe things could be changed but who knows.

Yeah, each retailer will get a pre-order bonus color pack. They’ll all be purchasable on all the services, though, so it’s really more like a $1 off if you like that character, than an exclusive or anything.
We plan to release all the color packs on PSN and XBLA the week after the patch hits, BTW.
Also, as a thanks for everyone’s patience, we’re giving everyone three new colors for every character with the patch, too.

Actually all of the animation is done in Photoshop at super hi resolution. Anyhow from what I understand complex vector art is much more expensive to render than raster art.
ON TOPIC will there be a mac version down the line?
Ravidrath on Neogaf said that they will submit the patch for consoles very soon so I wonder if they are planning the launch of the patch and the port at the same time, in fact, Microsoft and Sony take a lot to approve the patch so It will be better for the PC port launch before that and the most impacient players will buy the game to test it because the patch will be include in the PC launch I assume.
Steam’s always last to these sort of things for some raisin.

That July date is placeholder. Those parasoul colors will be available as dlc along with others when the patch hits.
