What does IRC mean?
internet relay chat. if you are on windows, you can use a program like mIRC which is free and will get you in. If you are on a Mac, you can use colloquy.
Google y-chat. mIRC, Xchat, and such are free until the trial period is over.
If you use Y-chat, it’s a completely free version of x-chat, no trial period ever.
