Question to MikeZ:

In your development for the Skullgirls PC version, what are you considering for distribution/DRM?

Are you going to do it like SFIV, that uses GFWL (and also Steam if you bought it through Steam) or are you going to just use Steam or something else? If you don’t use GFWL, will it have native Xbox 360 controller support, so that you could just plug in an Xbox 360 stick and it’ll work right off the bat, or will it handle controllers in a different way?

Just curious.

No, not really.

I thank the fellas at reverge for not letting her keep the flying ass attack, but at the same time I’m not to happy that her super grab is a level one.

Level ones or twos are things that really should just add to combos or end them(or start in some cases), and not do spectacular damage, that’s why they should only require one level. Level three and above should be the high risk high reward attacks that have a lot of benifits but are very unsafe.

My opinion.

Hey mike, would it be possible to let fortune set qcb+HP as an assist so you can have head roll if the head is on and nomnomnom if the head is off instead of it just defaulting to calling the year back?

Or is that just a design decision that you don’t plan on changing?

If you’re pushing buttons when a grappler is within grab range you’re doing it wrong to begin with. :stuck_out_tongue:

Remember that all of Cerebella’s grabs do nothing but recoverable life. Tag out, keep away, and suddenly you have the life lead again.

So you are just gonna ignore every other fighting game grapplers that has a super command grab that cost 1 super? because I’m pretty sure all grapplers deals TONS of damage with heir lvl1 Super Command Grab.

Would you go up to Zangief and try bullshit blockstrings or things that are more negative than his SPD? NO?

It’s true she is a grappler but she has more tools than any grappler I’ve seen in a fighter yet.

There aren’t many if any grapplers with air mobility, reflects, armored specials staggers, otg combo’s, and a projectile(lvl3) and AA…

And I’m trying to learn her…

This game is balanced around tools, not around making some character archetypes be good and others suck just too retain the status quo.

I will also buy it on PC, but God! pleaso no GFWL, but I guess that will be the case :(. I think xbox 360 controller support is independent from GFWL, its just that GFWL games require it to get the oh so shiny logo on the cover. I think the main reason for using GFWL would be matchmaking?

And I like how nearly the whole roster is repped in top 8, except Double. I need to figure her out. She’s just so weird. JetM and I figured out some seriously stupid stuff with her level 3 though, like how if you tag their assist, they can’t do jack shit about it lest they get caught too. It may even cross up.

I also modded Brandino’s stick. So yet again, one of my sticks makes top 8, yet I don’t. >.>

As part time PC gamer GFWL can go straight to fucking hell. The only true benefit to GFWL is that it’s capable of cross networking with XBL but that feature is never used as supposedly requires PC users to have Gold accounts for it to be possible (Good luck getting a PC gamer to pay to play a game online that isn’t an MMO). The the interface is shit, it encrypts save files, it locks your save if you don’t log in to your online account (you can make an offline one but having to sign in to anything to have access to saves is still dumb), GFWL is only available in 35 regions (if you happen to live in a unsupported region than you have no way to purchase the game legally), etc. GFWL is a goddamn cancer. As much as I like this game I won’t support the PC version if it uses it.

What will happen when a DLC character comes out that is featured in a stage?

Probably what happens in most if not all fighting games, set the stage sprite to value 0 to make it not appear whenever the character is selected.

Because no one wants to talk about the streams in there.
