Another weird one I do is I’d go :d::b::k:. I know this because I was messing with the custom assist as a ghetto input display. Been trying to clean up my inputs, but it’s hard in games nowadays with their input leniency and shortcuts. Props to Mike Z and Reverge (and everyone else involved) for not going this route.

Oh my god, I LOVE those designs. This is one of the reasons I LOVE skullgirls, the creative and imaginative designs for EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER!!

My execution isn’t normally bad enough to mess up like that though. It just feels that sometimes I need to take little bit of an extra effort and make sure everything is as clean as I can do it. It is more than likely is me just rushing to do the inputs since most of my mess-ups happen when I’m not exactly winning in matches.

They can jump out of it. Do it in training mode with hitboxes on, if 2p holds Up they remain throw invincible (yellow) until they are in the air, since jump startup is throw invin, AND jump-land is throw invin if you are holding Up.

I still think that combo is neat - plus it’s hard. The problem, though, is her head goes the wrong way when you hit the opponent out of OmNomNom, it’s supposed to go behind her. I only noticed after we shipped. I’ll probably fix that since it was a legitimate oops. The only other choices are getting rid of the hold-HP-to-not-screw-up-your-combos, or not allowing hitting the head to eliminate cooldown, both of which I kinda don’t wanna do. :^)

You know, that’s a decent idea. You’d have to hit them on the exact same frame though, otherwise we’d have to delay the button inputs from macros for a frame and that’s not gonna fly. Though I wonder if the planned addition of LK+HP for Assist 1 would help Fanatiq some.

The window is tighter than that, unfortunately. Throws can be teched from -2 to +3 frames from the throw connecting, and the first 4 frames of throw startup autotech (info from Dyselon). I’m not sure if an OS like that would be very practical with such a short window.

Would the head going behind her make that big of a difference? I suppose they would have to alter the chain accordingly, but is it still possible to do that sort of combo, just it being a lot more difficult?

Like I said, some controllers and stuff have a L3 and R3 button, so those are also possible short cuts, but you probably want the press both at once option as well for controllers/sticks that don’t have that button.
