First time I’ve posted in the GD since the game came out, wanted to plug SG+MBAACC casuals that are going down this weekend for anyone in Waterloo/Toronto! It’s gonna be pretty hype, there’s gonna be tournaments too but without any entrance fees or prizes(other than PRIDE).

Trying to get in on DoubleCock is harder. HK Hornet Bomber is bullshit.
And sometimes it feels like the timing to do special moves is retardedly strict.
Obviously I can’t confirm without input display, but I think more often than not it’s hitting buttons just before the horizontal input goes in so you get some thing like :d::db::k:.

Ski mentioned something about some players telling him you’re throw invulnerable for some frames after leaving hitstun - is that true? I don’t think it would be a bad idea really but it’s the first I’ve heard of it.
I can pretty much tick throw right after I jab, so it’s not KOF level bad at least.
The only thing that SG has is that if you throw on the first frame possible after a reset or a combo it doesn’t reset the IPS I think.
No, there’s no throw protection. However, if you get thrown on the first frame after leaving hitstun, IPS doesn’t reset.
Personally, I wish there were a few frames of protection so ground resets wouldn’t be so hard to defend against.

Yeah with it being so easy to restand people low/throw resets seem pretty braindead to set up at this point. Since the window to tech after the throw connects is like 8 frames though you should be able to block low then delay stand tech. Just takes practice that would be a lot easier if training mode had a record function, lol.
