I don’t think I’ve ever been hyped for a story mode in a fighting game ever, Blazblue’s more came as a surprise, but I really want to play this right out the box.
I never platinumed a game, but I want to make this the first.

I didn’t want to believe the 2nd arc was cannon :[ Raoh’s brother, the 3 of them being sent across the water, etc. it seemed to conflict so much with what was already established.

It isn’t the concepts like anti-infinite and custom assists that will draw in the casuals- it’s things like this. Looking very nice.
Y’know, I’ve always had an issue with Valentine’s bio. She’s part of The Last Hope, against the Skullgirl. Now she works for the Skullgirl. And that’s it? Her whole crew is dead and she’s just going to switch sides? We’re meant to think she’s evil (and aiding in Painwheel’s creation doesn’t help) but I’ve always had a sneaking suspicion that Valentine is waiting for the most opportune to time screw over Marie.
This pic seems to suggest Valentine hasn’t exactly moved on from their deaths.
Although, maybe Valentine betrayed them so she could be the most busty nurse in town.

On one hand, Double having the hidden movie poster makes me hope for the best, but considering what it entails she is probably the engineering mastermind behind the skullheart itself and the final, cinematicy boss. I certainly hope the clues do not add up to that and we get her (and a playable Marie later, because BONESTOOORM), but seeing the blob get her new look confirmed and appearing like this has me STOKED, STOKED I say!
The hype was truly worth the wait, I can’t wait to shower the whole team in well-deserved, beautiful money.

I’m hoping in Valentine’s story we get a glimpse of her former friend’s personalities.
One of looks a bit like Venus I think
val’s silhouette really looks like she’s being hurt by something though, knighting is like a whole “on one knee and bowing” stance (such as your reference)
