I actually like Brawl more than Melee, but there’s no excusing how they went out of their way to make that game as uncompetitive as possible.

I think people don’t seem to realize Brawl had quite a bit of depth and strategy to it as well but like I said, I don’t want to get into it because almost every time I do, I explode. (It’s not helped when the so-called snobs in the community are self-righteous god complex suffering asshats that call anyone who doesn’t agree with them “casuals” and in a very derogatory sense)
Back on topic: So about that mysterious 8th character. Who guesses it’s Marie and who guesses they throw us a curveball and it ends up being Double? (It better not. I want to hit people with a demonic vacuum cleaner)
Well like I’ve said before, I’ve never been under the impression that it was Nintendo and Sakurai’s intention to make Smash Bros. competitive to begin with. Otherwise, what was the point of making it so up to 4-players could fight simultaneously and giving most of the stages hazards if competitive players were just going to pick Final Destination all the time? It just doesn’t seem like it from the way it’s designed on paper.
That being said, I do have to agree Brawl is only better by a tiny sliver and has it’s own problems that weigh it down. The middle of the fight tripping being the big one. But I’m not going to praise Melee as the better title when it had a worse roster and balancing issues than it’s sequel.
What about the 8th character being Double that copied Marie and now looks and plays like her :eek:

The burst bait in that vid was to show that whatever can burst bait needs to have lots of lag in it, so you’re giving up your combo (and generally setting yourself up to be hit back) if you guess wrong.

Nope. Pretty much my entire Pokémon (Alt + 1-3-0, c’mon people!) experience comes from Puzzle League*, watching a few episodes and hating it, playing a bit of…I dunno, maybe the 2nd repackaged release of that same basic game and not really having fun, and the random references on the Internet.
