I believe he’s referring to using Painwheel’s Air Super twice in a row at that stage in the combo.

I’m hoping so.

Even canceling into cattelites at the end is mixup, and that equals a dead char.

Doesn’t super flash reset the damage scaling to 80%, though? So, after the first air super, each super is doing 80% of its base damage? o_O

Eh, only good if you have no other way to spend that meter, I guess.

Yep, this. It prorates way too much to be worth using a whole bar just for 900 damage. You should just DHC and it’ll do more damage.

The only real use to it is killing a character when Painwheel is the only one left on your team. Otherwise, the damage is awful.

Buer Thresher has had it’s base damage increased in the patch but it’s still no Ultimate Showstopper. It is pretty likely there are meterless ways to get minimum 1100 damage following up her air super now that it’s flight cancellable on hit. However! It’s still pretty swag.

80% scaling reset is for DHC’s only

So, if you grab, then super immediately after, the resulting combo is still at 50% (e.g. PW grab -> fly -> air super -> combo)? Thought it was the super flash that caused scaling reset. o_O

I know Excebella -> Diamond Dynamo always reset the damage scaling for the resulting combo in vanilla.

That’s a little over 9000 damage. It’s nice, but it’s not that unusual. One of my corner combos does that much now, for 1 meter.

yeah 1v3 tods are pretty easy… and if you have good resets, 1v3 should always equal a dead character with 1 reset.

Like it’s just not … working. I hold back, push block, let go of stick, enter motion of whatever … and I keep blocking. Then I try holding back, letting go to neutral, push blocking, inputting motion … and still nothing happens. What am I doing wrong here guys? I can’t pushblock guard cancel. D:

what moves are you doing? I thought it only worked with super, but I’m probably wrong. Try a DP move after a standing pushblock. The transition from holding back to forward should go through neutral.

Yeah I’ve only been attempting to do it with supers but nothing seems to come out. If I mess up the pushblock guard cancel shouldnt I immediately be being hit? I just keep blocking … its like the guard cancel never registers.

I’ve been trying to make a midscreen combo with it, i’m not coming up with anything. It usually just bounces them off the wall to far for me to do anything.
