I have the latest ‘patch’, I’m going to try and take some horribly shitty video of me playing it by just fucking around soon. Hopefully.
Oh, lord… I’ve been watching patched gameplay so much that I’m attempting thing that aren’t even in the current version.
Me: “Filia…why u no dash after airball”
So I was dying last week, but I’m around this week. Seriously chibi lets get together and hold a thing that lets the east coast community try that patch out. We need to get the hype flowing.
If you end up putting something together and it’s on a weekend, I’ll come down for it. I can try to bring down some other Massachusetts people; we did get 8 people for the last Skullgirls tournament, maybe some of those people would want to play on the patch.
Drove 700 miles to go 0-2. Overslept and held up the brackets by an hour. I was flattered they held it for me, but I’m nobody special.
Oh, and for those wondering: yes, the girl who gave me the shimapan is hot.
FINALLY I CAN SLEEP
Are you implying that you were late because of shimapan?
Nope. I just overslept, plain and simple. I had acquired the pantsu before the tournament. I even went around asking female players to sign it.
When people open a session as practice when it’s actually expert! It’s so freaky! I wonder if people actually pay attention to the Room Level?
Experts need practice too
Would’ve better if you did a Prince from Cinderella with them
Check the SG OTT
Thank you very much for coming out Duckie it’s great for you to come out and support a great game and for your help supporting the community with your wonderful stick modding services. <3 Hope you can come out next year hopefully by then the patch will be out and maybe I’ll learn the Double BnB by then too.

I’ll tell you what I am looking forward to in the patch: the ability to know who the fuck I’m playing against.
I made a room and just did a long series with someone who joined my room (who had to be a friend because the time stamp on the people met didn’t match), but not knowing who it was and having 5 of my friends on Skullgirls and 3 more that play Skullgirls on Netflix, who the hell do I send the GGs to!?
GGs to everyone ever.
Yessss. I’m having this issue more and more as time goes on. The more people that I add on my friendslist the more people that end up just “disappearing” when it comes time to finding out who I have and haven’t played with (I’m looking at you Zidiane!).
… I rather dislike seeing new posts in gameplay discussion, then click on it and not see… Gameplay discussion, though i guess complaining about not being able to see opponents names in rooms kinda relates to gameplay… Cmon guys, we all know what this thread is for:
Discussing matchups, new tech, character/non character specific strats, general gameplay mechanics etc.
Anywho, to keep this relevent, i just found out a mechanic that makes some combos eqsier and harder, though i know its a pretty widely known thing, not knowing it can cause severe frustration and wasted training mode time.
Connected launchers can have there jump be delayed, which i already knew for doung things like doubles airthrow reset where she late cancels the launcher into a jump and immediate airthrow, what i didnt know is how much it can make or break certain combos, like doubles barrel loop becomes much easier at the j.lk extension if the jump is slightly delayed which allows the hit character to fall a bit closer to the ground allowing barrel loop to work easily.
This applies to all characters and delaying launcher jumps can result in a variety of different effects even in the same combo.
So just a post for those that dont know.

it’s easier again if you just do the j.LK immediately, not even allowing them to gain the height in the first place. But yeah, it’s fundamental to Parasoul combos so I’m pretty sure most already do it, even if not totally consciously.
It’s been a while since I’ve played with Parasoul to much, but have people been using j.HP to set up tear drops much? It seems like a good zoning tool without much downside. Once the new training mode I’m gonna be working on pressure strings to set up tear drops from a jump-in and then use blockstun to set up a ground mixup or something, would save assist for keeping you safe.
Actually I can answer that.
When someone creates a practice room and they appear to be an expert, they are usually trying out a new team or focusing on a new piece of tech.
When someone creates a casual room and they appear to be expert, they are usually distracted by something. For me, I tend to be watching TV at the same time when I rank my room casual.
When someone enters either room and appears to be an expert, its generally because there aren’t enough matches to be pick-and-choosy. I’d take any playable match, expert, casual, practice, or beginner at this point.
When someone creates a beginner room and they appear to be an expert, they are just trolling you.
What qualifies as beginner and expert though? I just got beaten to the tune of like 20-1. I dont consider myself an expert but neither do i consider myself a beginner.
Room names like beginner, expert, casual etc are completely arbitrary. Some beginner might consider themselves expert cause they beat the computer on ridiculous… Then at the other end of the road you have someone like myself that has just lost bad, but would be a complete freakout to walk into a beginner room with half life combos and a million resets plus the ability to realistically kill an entire team from one opening.
Basically room rankings are stupid, to state it completely bluntly.

I would consider you an expert.
