Peacock + almost anyone that isn’t Double IMO means Bella should win. Most of the time anyway. You don’t really know it since you rock Double.
I play with my friend often, and he rocks solo-Bella. He’s pretty good, but I’ve played a number of other 'Bellas (whose names I don’t remember unfortunately). I just don’t think Bella has anything to worry about, eventually she’s going to get in and that’s it.
Hawking for example! He plays Bella and Peacock with H item drop. Holy crap that team is a pain in my butt. Peacock can’t escape her own item drop lol
I don’t think he was doing resets he just dropped the combo those times and he ate supers that do huge ass dmg for it. Especially fortune lvl 3, Masta Cj should’ve just started baiting it. If someone does it once or twice chances are they will do it again.
as long as it doesn’t kill a character, I generally don’t mind eating those kind of supers. The information I get from them about my opponent is easily worth it
i have a well kept document containing what you all do on wakeup, under pressure, and what color of panties i want you to wear as you shake side to side lalalalaaaaa
As a solo, you have two choices against Val/Double in the corner:
Hope to guess the reset correctly, knowing that even doing so you won’t be able to get out of the corner without some miraculous hole in the offense (especially considering NO invincible moves currently in the game can actually punish HK Hornet Bomber in the corner before they’re put into hit or block stun
Super to give you some room, although no supers in the game have enough invincibility to completely avoid Hornet Bomber in the corner before you’re put into hit or block stun (other than level 3s)
So guess what, even normal super wouldn’t have stopped Double from smacking me in the face. I was taking advantage of the fact that I knew for a fact that we were BOTH dropping combos from these monitors (I love those crossup dp+LK into j.LK with no followups coming out), so there was nothing he could do about that. Too bad. It’s called adapting. He could do the same thing by chicken blocking and calling Double then dashing in and converting. Which he did. A lot. And won.
Let’s also not forget he was hearing me tap buttons after EVERY hit (anyone who plays this game by this point knows the timing of every Valentine combo). He knew I was trying the reversals in case he dropped the combos and kept going with the combos. He dropped them and got punished for it because to be honest, if he hadn’t dropped them the reward would’ve been much better (considering that a dead solo is a won round).
You like to underestimate me, it seems. I was frustrated that I couldn’t get ONE Peacock combo to hit the whole way through so I ditched her (or did you really think all those super-less throws and s.HKs were intentional?). I knew he was dropping combos (getting those nice American resets), so I abused that with my two aerial supers. I apologize if smart play isn’t your favorite type to watch. I, for one, enjoyed watching him respond and adapt like I responded and adapted.
and i know what you mean with the OCD thing. i dont do it anymore since i dont have as much execution issues as i used to back in the day. i would get frustrated if my move didnt come out and would just keep doing it over and over till it came out regardless of whether it was a smart move or not.
Lol what? you through out supers even when someone is consistently hitting their combos. I played you and you do it, that’s your style nothing wrong with that everyone plays different. And super is unsafe btw.
I was just saying Masta Cj probably wasn’t happy taking about 95% of the supers if not every super you did, idk how thats adapting.
You forget a key problem. You’ve only played me four times. EVER. You won twice, then quit after losing twice. Not exactly a representative sample.
I am aware that super is unsafe. I’ve done it before and it’s been blocked (unbelievable, I know!). When your reactions have to be 5 frames faster than usual (our GGPO setting), it makes it impossible to do something OTHER than super when being pressured. Throw techs are basically 1f. Yet you know what doesn’t change? Hitting one button for a lockdown assist and doing a high/low mixup. You know what DOES change? Trying to block said mixup.
I went through the video, and I do reversal supers three times. Once, he was trying a reset. Once he started dropping his combos I realize it wasn’t just me. So guess what I did? Online warrior in me said “he’s dropping combos a lot, mash super and convert”.
That’s not my “style”, it’s what I have to do to make up for the fact that something outside of both players’ controls was forcing inputs to drop. It’s just like playing online then.
For your information, Ms. Fortune has four reversal options in the ground and two in the air. I wasn’t just doing supers, until it became plainly obvious that we were both dropping combos in that setup.
So what you both are saying, is the next opportunity you have to play live, there will be streamed money matches. In the event this happens, I have side bets burning a hole in my pocket.
I think Guitalex might roll Solo-Fortune, depending on when this would theoretically take place, with factors such as the incoming patch (And how that affects Fortune. It is apparently substantial with the IPS and nom loop changes), and how long he would have to brush up on the 'cock (Which while scary, I would not say is being played to super Money Match time capacity). That being said, both of these players have soundly handed me my ass so it’s tough to draw the line there, but I haven’t seen recent video of Pali as much as Alex. I’m not sure who’s really the underdog walking into this fight, but I’d sure like to see it.
Basically, this is a thing that should legitimately happen and I’m willing to drop some change to make it the hype-nest.
I have reservations calling it the game’s hidden missile, but I will not deny it is an excellent assist. Still, he can go to /town/ with Solo Fortune when she’s not crippled by lockdown pressure. Alex has got some filthy resets and can/will kill you if he gets the chance. Still, so as not to appear biased one way or the other, Pali is regarded as a day ruining Parasoul.
They should fight they should fight they should fight.
