Filia as Hatsune Miku. Filia is neither a singer or a vocaloid. Your argument is invalid.
Lol Mike Z says she’s Magneto. Also it makes perfect sense, she plays very similarly to MvC2 Magneto. In fact some of her numbers were based directly off him. Her Instant (h)air dash LK is exactly as fast as Magneto’s triangle jump overhead.
Wasn’t he an inspiration for her in the first place?
o_O?! are you sure?
Her outfit base is exactly like Miku’s, argument re validated
I’m not gonna pick this apart because I dont fell like typing all my arguments. too late for that. But if it wasnt for gloves being left out, everyone would be like
"ER MAH GERD!!! MAGNETO!!!". Though without gloves its as close as they couldve gotten. White hair, blue eyes, red and purple color scheme. Thats as close as you’ll get.
Has anyone gotten a hold of Paid DLC screens yet?
hasn’t been reviled yet.
What are you all talking about? When Mike Z first showcased the color palettes one by one the whole stream chat immediately knew it was a Magneto inspired palette before he even said it (even without purple gloves for the hands, you still got the right color scheme in the right positions along with the hair and eye colors). With you saying “Thats obviously Hatsune Miku” while disregarding the Magneto palette with the same logic makes zero sense since color palette references are supposed to **PARODY, **not be exact carbon copies. You might as well say PW #12 is not Sentinel too because she is not a robot or Peacock #12 not Cable because she not a man
Besides the four Parasoul ones no (The one thats shown for Skullgirl PC pre-order bonus)
Ravi said he would post screenshots of the paid dlc palettes sometime when the patch drops
People failing to see references seems to be as painful as people trying to force references that aren’t there…
Yes, I am quite sure lol.
Article 1: I never saw the stream so I’m judging the color off the pic. I don’t see purple, you guys who saw the stream did.
(Distorted colors are one of the biggest problems with posting from screen shots.)
I was basing my opinion on that. So with out the ability to properly see the item in question so i could defend or agree, I’ll bend to the mob, “sure, its Magneto”
Article 2: With the "Thats obviously Hatsune Miku"comment. Disregarding the Magneto reference is very easy to do without the evidence provided in the past article. Second more, the “parody” part. When JSD said that she plays similar to MVC2 Magneto, there was the reference needed to apply the palette. There was no character design or story element available before to kinda validate the color. Stating that the other one is miku is alot more obvious cuz well…she kinda looks like miku! Filia doesn’t “look” anything like Magneto, so the comparison to cross reference by just plain appearance IS NOT THERE! Only through her move set can the comparison be made.
So, when Elk said, “People failing to see references seems to be as painful as people trying to force references that aren’t there…”
That’s gonna pretty much be the norm unless people who were part of development like, lets say …Mike Z, clear the air by telling/affirming that that color is based on a specific person.
I was wrong in accusing without knowing and for that I apologize, but you cant instantly assume that any particular scheme belongs to people without proof.
So by that logic in your last statement unless their was “proof” (I.e the development team saying x palette is x reference) then that Miku color scheme is a complete coincidence and nothing more. M’kay.
The general sense “proof” is making accurate judgements on a source besides a shit quality picture like i said before and using the reference subject as an accurate comparison. Its not “official proof” until someone in the development says it however. You saying “She looks like Miku” (she is not a vocaloid) because of the color scheme is like me saying “She looks like Magneto”(she is not a Mutant Purist) because of the color scheme.
My point in saying this is don’t tell me that is not magneto palette because it makes no sense when i can easily say that about Miku (I can pick apart the stuff that the Filia palette does not have of Miku like the hair style is wrong, she is missing certain articles of clothing/accessories, etc). Also i don’t say palette references are “official” until they are actually “official” based on my past posts on this thread so don’t tell me i make statements without the “proof” you are asking for. Thank you have a good day
This +1.
Personally, I cant wait for some “Marie” Peacock. Best self reference ever.
As much as I love me some Mithra, I’ll be damned if palette 3 isn’t Reiko Hinomoto from Rumble Roses.
Someone from the dev team awhile back confirmed it was the girl from Rumble Roses. Don’t feel like hunting for that particular stream video unless i have to
I post Mithra Warrior for this http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/_cb20110414185351/finalfantasy/images/3/35/Mithra_WAR%28FFXI%29.png but ok, if the dev team awhile back confirmed it was the girl from Rumble Roses will be true
I think Cerebella’s reflector is a reference to one of Jotoro Kujo’s signature poses. He does it during his tandem attack pause in the fighting game version of jojo’s as well
I Found A lot of References, Copy-paste~ http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/ShoutOut/SkullGirls (If you go to the web, get links and examples of references)
Part 2 (20.000+ works part 1 O.O
