Ms.Fortune - Morrigan Aseland from the Vampire Savior/Darkstalkers series
Parasoul - Kneesocks from the Anime “Panty and Stockings with Garterbelt”
Cellebra - Rainbow Mika from Street Fighter Zero/Alpha 3
A stretch but,
Parasoul - Mascot of the Stream FinestKO productions. A stream from Northern California that features games like BlazBlue, KoFXIII, Catherine, Guilty Gear, and just recently, Skullgirls.
According to TVTropes, Filia have a Scanty color palette. When I personally checked myself, there was no red-skinned Filia. Only a palette with a red Samson.
That’s not one of the default 10 palettes, just like the Potenkim Cerebella, you will have to wait for the Color Palettes DLC.
I mean, they need to take your money some way, and color palettes is the less abusive way the can do it (unless you want characters to cost $10 each one).
Palettes are pretty much confirmed. Stages too I think. But It’ll be logical to tie stages with characters since their story modes can demand new stages.
This movie poster alone is one of the single most direct examples that I have personally seen of a particular source that the art direction of Skullgirls seems to both draw stylistic influences from and pay homage to.
When Valentine loses from the timer running out, she disappears but a bunch of bones appear everywhere. Not sure if it was so obvious nobody posted it but, it’s a reference to old school Mortal Kombat when people use to explode into 50 rib cages and 40 femurs.
