Preface - Some of double’s moves are from earlier, terrible and cancelled builds of skullgirls or ideas that were used in earlier builds of skullgirls such as parasoul’s luger shot. Most of her specials/supers that were given to her were redundant or potentially outclassing other specials on the characters they mimicked. For example, if you were playing peacock, argus agony would be your second go to since bandwagon rushdown is FULLY INVINCIBLE and just as easy to combo into. This makes double as a character an homage to character creativity and an Easter Egg of old resources.

Cillia Slide: Sub Zero Slide, Mike Z even stated he tried to get it as close as possible to the actual input.

Hornet Bomber: R. Mika’s buttslam

Tag in is called “second impact” a reference to street fighter.

I’ve noticed a lot of people are making these super obscure cross references.
I guess that’s one of the quirks of the game, you can pretty much link things to almost anything, even if your wrong.

My brother was catching a ton of references that I’ve never heard of before, I’ll try to remember some.

One was in Filia’s j.HP one of the weapons is some spear from Evangelion?

In Parasoul’s Sniper Super, sometimes she says “Take the shot number thirteen” possibly referencing Golgo 13.

I think he found some other good ones but I can’t remember.

Personally I figured the full green Double costume was a pretty obvious Shuma Gorath reference.
