Skullgirls Bugs & Glitches Thread - Check First Post

Not a bug, most throws and command throws does the same thing, not to mention her BnB’s do more damage off her throw so just go straight into the launcher > air chain part of it.

<_<

which is why you reset your opponent lol. its neither a glitch or a bug.

it’s a balancing aspect. considering she has the best ground throw in the game looool. that and a lot of throws do that shit, so it’s not just her LMAO.

It may affect the gameplay if the player has Valentine and wants to do a lvl 5 resurrection on Ms. Fortune. I actually wonder what happens if you try to call the head back to you in that situation (normal call, not lvl 3 super).

It might be something intentional, but I’ll say it anyway.

I was fighting Fortune with Bella, and I knocked her head off. It fell, Fortune retreated, and I tried to Titan Knuckle the head, but it didn’t work. I tried twice before the dude called it back, unharmed.

Thanks for the reply Mike!

It only hits the head right at the tip of her fist. Not intentional like “I’m going to make it this way” but intentional in that the arm part won’t OTG.

Oooooh… So you can’t just “Titan FUCK YOU get out of my house!” I kinda like that.

Don’t know if this is a bug or a design choice, but i don’t think it should be there.

When you go for Cerebella’s level 3 and she gets thrown out of the start up, then she won’t lose 3 meters. Not sure of the exact point in which the super actually takes the meter off, but it happened twice and even though i was the Cerebella player, i made that choice to use the level 3 and the fact that the meter doesn’t deplete even though i was punished for it seems silly.

Nothing in any game takes meter before the flash. [edit - that I know of.]
Val’s counter only loses meter after the counter period is over; Proton Cannon, Time Slip (Timeflip? Whatever, nobody uses it anyway), etc don’t lose meter until the superflash…Mech Gief / Sent / Juggernaut don’t lose meter even if they are hit or thrown out of the armor at the start of their supers. Since the closest analog is Proton or those characters, I think her Lv3 working this way is perfectly fine.

for the sake of completeness: mvc3

that was probably pretty disappointing to anyone who played storm lol (among a million other things about her and the engine of course)

Yeah it does that in MvC3. It bugged the hell out of one of my friends. He was very glad to see that Skullgirls didn’t work like that.

Basically, after guarding a "the hole idea " bomb, i used bang bang bang H version and peacock shot in the wrong direction.

So I was re-examining the hitch in JetM’s Powerup match:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmnBD3VuopM#t=6m11s

And basically, it hitched because he earned a new combo word that got the achievement…which means it happened because he dropped the combo already, not that he dropped the combo because it hitched. Doesn’t make it any less annoying, but it does mean it didn’t cost him that kill. (^.^)

Yep, that and the head floating upward if she gets killed are already fixed here. :^)

Not sure if glitch or not but…

When playing Ms. Fortune, with your back to the wall of the screen, super-jumping backwards and trying to do qcb HP results in Fortune just dropping the head instead of spiking it.

^Seems to only happen if you super jump backwards toward the edge of the screen. Seems to be a momentum thing with the head as she just barely misses spiking it.

Oh yeah, I was super-jumping. Editing~

Console : PS3
Console model : Slim
Game mode glitch occurred in : Joined Unranked Room
Team and assists you used (if you remember) : Cerebella - Cerecopter / Valentine - Mortuary Drop
Team and assists opponent used (if you remember) : Parasoul / Ms. Fortune
Type of glitch : Other (like hardware freeze)

Other : Opponent got as far as selecting Ms.Fortune’s custom assist, then their cursor stopped moving. The timer continued counting down until 0, but then nothing happened. I waited for about 2 minutes until it kicked me back to the main menu with a “Lost connection to the opponent” message.
This has since happened to several other opponents with different teams - all from the US as far as I can tell.

EDIT: Ooh, more fun crashy times.

Console : PS3
Console model : Slim
Game mode glitch occurred in : Quick Match
Team and assists you used (if you remember) : Cerebella
Team and assists opponent used (if you remember) : Fillia
Type of glitch : Other (like hardware freeze)

Other : I was able to select Cerebella and get to the Custom Assist window. Once my opponent selected Fillia the console froze for[S] both of us[/S] me, requiring a restart.
This happened [S]twice[/S] three times against the same opponent. He was using the US Version and I was on the EU release.

To give my side of the story;

Console : PS3
Console model : Slim
Game mode glitch occurred in : Quick Match
Team and assists you used (if you remember) : Fillia
Team and assists opponent used (if you remember) : Cerebella
Type of glitch : Other

Other : As soon as I picked a character, the game stopped and said something like “Lost connection to the opponent” from the PS3 GUI, before returning me to the Versus menu. I have the US version.

EDIT: Since this bug caught attention, it’s worth mentioning that this bug apparently only applies to quick match. I could play a few matches against EU-players if I played unranked matches.
