Skull Girls Story Discussion Thread: ALERT! SPOILERS INBOUND!

The only thing I’m willing to determine as cannon is their motivations.

Everything else is in the air.

I think that some of the details can be considered canon. Pretty much anything that was consistent throughout, or didn’t clash with another storyline? Like Painwheel and Filia being classmates or Peacock’s technobabble bit at the beginning or what have you. Just not the actual plot events themselves?

Gah, now that makes me think even more of Q-Bee.

I agree, I rather like Peacock having a soft side deep down for whom she cares for most. And then going crazy for everything else.

Looking at the cast and seeing some of the archetypes (nurse, ninja (happen to be one in the same) catgirl/sortaundead girl, a coming undead girl who’s martial artist) right now I’m wondering if they thought about 2 others: Vampire girls and the gender bender route (considering one girl has a parasitic head, there’s a nun(?) who has a hourglass for a torso, and a lady with some weird parasite that sprouts from her belly, this doesn’t seem farfetched).

Not necessarily. He was very hesitant in letting Fillia interact with Painwheel. There sure is stuff that he doens’t want her to know. And, so far, we don’t know what he was doing before the bonding.

I hope future DLC story clears this up.

Just finished up Double’s story. I liked the endings for all the characters and this one makes me look forward to DLC characters/story. I think Black Dahlia is the character I’m hoping gets implimented most.

My prediction is something along the lines that DLC characters will progress the story first in relation to the Labs and Mafia (black dahlia, that big saxophone guy, brain drain maybe) then eventually tie things up with the trinity to show the canon stories.

Guys, Guys, hey Guys LISTEN

What if

What if the woman who asks the skullheart for a wish, wishes TO BECOME A MAN ?

Does she transform into the SKULLMANGIRL ?

I was surprised with how fun the storymode actually was. It was actually coherent, the characters felt consistent, and all the characters had more defining features than their appearance and what their job is (an impressive feat for videogame story).
I hope that future dlc updates package heroines and relevant villains together to create new story paths, or add extensions onto current ones.
The way that two of the endings involve revenge on the medici family, and Cerebella’s involves a sort of doubt in them, (and if Marie ever became playable, she defiantly had it in for them) I hope we would see more villain characters from them. Black Dahlia and… whoever else they have…

I dunno. Ask Annie though. I think Its rumored she’s a trap.

Medici is kidnapping girls from Little Innsmouth.
Fillia is apparently a Medici but has lost her memory and is now wandering aimlessly.

Connection?!

Though I think it was mentioned specifically that the Medici are only kidnapping Dagonians. I dunno sure.

Anyone notice that Double’s achievement icon features Ms.Victoria?

Interesting.

It was mentioned that they are connected to the slavers in peacock’s story. So, they like to diversify.

I wonder what Fillia may have done so that her guilt endured the amnesia.

Major bastards this fellows.

Mob boss daughter, she might’ve been stuck up.

Although I don’t think her guilt endured, I think it was the fact Carol knew her, she doesn’t remember and Carol’s current state made her feel bad for her.

I honestly believe Filia was a grade-A bitch before getting Amnesia.

Well, if stereotypes are being used, she was a blonde teen…

The memory images seem more like Carol and Filia were friends.

Maplecrest might be the suburbs where the family related to mafia people lived, probably in an effort to keep the family and business separate. The kids remain oblivious to what is happening outside there.

But she said that she felt that she hurt Carol somehow… maybe what she did indirectly caused her to become painwheel?

Maybe Carol looked for her after she disappeared resulting in her kidnappping by Val.
Maybe Filia thinks that.
Maybe Filia thinks if she never did whatever caused her to lose her memories, Carol wouldn’t be in the state that she’s in. <-What I suspect

those are all really good theories. I can see any of those happening

Maybe the original target of project Painwheel was “any lowlife mob scum that we won’t miss”, and somehow the Medici found a scapegoat.
