There is too much people who wants to fuck with the Medicis and not many people to defend the Medicis
We need more Mafioso fighters.
How about some of the Medici Skeletons who decided fuck around after the defeat of Marie.
He is the one with Tommy Gun. His supers involves calling the other Mafia Skeletons
Shit, Vitale as a summons character could actually be really cool. In lieu of actually fighting you all of his moves including his normals could have him ordering around mafia goons.
ALL The Normals would be a problem.
Just make his specials being summoning his mafias goons.
his level 5 is summoning Riccardo and Riccardo making everyone else uncomfortable
I always thought that if they only choose one of the Anti-Skullgirls Labs trio to be playable(Hive, Leduc, or Big Band), the other two would act as C.Commando style summons.
Concerning Filia’s ending, If were her I would have been pissed.
Making the wish for Painwheel to have a normal life and taking on the burden of becoming the Skullgirl. Then Painwheel turns up to school still covered in scars and gigantic veins.
“I ruined my life for that!? DAMN YOU SKULLHEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAART!”
Man, how did I like Marie:
She really destroyed the tradititional “anime maid” that we are used to imagine. First, she is not sexy at all. She looks like exactly what she is in the story: a sick abused child who has bee through far too much. And because of that she is also NOT meek at all. She is going against her former masters and shoving bones at their lungs. Hell, according to Double she still is not a good servant.
For a game that has been accused so much of being just a sexist pervert bait, that really is a powerfull punch against people who like to oppress. I know it hits people who wants submissive partners and or slaves.
Most of the character designs in this game have a reversal of expectations somewhere. Ms. Fortune is a cute cat girl and then suddenly wrapping you up in her muscle tissue, Peacock is funny cartoons only with copious amounts of murder (who then reverses expectations AGAIN by turning out to be perfectly capable of empathy), Double is a nun who is actually an eldritch abomination… I think the only ones that are played straight in any way are Parasoul and Painwheel. Even Parasoul is a bit of a stretch because despite being pretty damn heroic the whole Canopy Kingdom reeks of early twentieth century Germany
I was thinking about what actually happens to Miss Fortune when she gets crushed by Cerebella.
She is not still part of the gem, as it would still weigh as much as she does and Vitale wouldn’t be able to casually hold it in his hand.
Obviously, Miss Fortune has converted into a gas.
Magic, Vitale is just strong. Rule of cool.
It is still horrifying. Specially if you think she may still be alive as the gem.
I can sum up what this picture reminds me of in four words: Welcome to Silent Hill.
Cuz the game is called Skullgirls. But yeah…we need some male fighters! (at least four!)
It would be really funny if Leviathan was actually some Pepe LePu Romancer…
Haven’t seen this mentioned yet: did any one else notice the significance of characters with red eyes? Certain characters related to the skullgirl have red eyes:
-Marie has red eyes but only after she’s been transformed to the skullgirl. (cutscene at the beginning of Double’s story)
-Umbrella has red eyes because she’s a child of a skull girl.
-Filia has red eyes because…something to do with her past?
-painwheel has red eyes after she’s infused with skullgirl blood.
The only interesting point is that filia may something skullgirl-related in her past.
I honestly just cant wait for DLC characters to come out so I can learn more about the story.
Sweet Jesus!
Well, I nor John Grimm no longer need to upload anything, my work is done!
Good point. And I would even go as far as to say that despite being a terrifying monster girl, Painwheel seems to just want her life back, and enters the fight with Marie under the pretense that she would be bettering the world. It seems her character would still be a sweet young girl if she hadn’t have been so completely F***ed over.
That’s a pretty common archetype, actually. The innocent youth who has been turned into a monster, but it’s okay because SHE CAN BREAK THESE CUFFS.
That’s been done so much that it would have been more of an inversion if she really did have no ability to fight Brain Drain.
