Yeah, the damage is definitely secondary and the corner option is meant as a post-combo mixup since I haven’t found a way to combo directly into it in the corner due to the height constraints. In most matches I wouldn’t bother with the 3rd super, honestly. It was more just for the sake of showing what it would be if you did use it than practicality sake. X-23 and Felicia really like the cart assist thought and Frank is pretty fun to play, regardless of his level. I don’t love it, but I can stand 2 bars to get him to level 4+. Anything below that seems like a bit of a waste, though.
What do you do to get Frank to level 4 with one bar Vergil? I switched from Wolverine to Vergil and I have an idea but I’m doing something wrong. Just need to figure out what.
LMHS (charge Round Trip) MMH Helm Breaker. OTG assist >> release round trip Standing H Judgement Cut L Spiral Swords. At that point you do some combo that gets you up to 50 hits (there are several) and ends with rising sun. Hard tag into frank and take a picture.
basically rising sun (srk Medium) is a groundbounce and hard knockdown. As long as you still have your groundbounce it lasts long enough to hard tag in for a snapshot. There’s a video of it somewhere in the Frank forums (I want to say team building thread?) which can help because it makes a lot of sense when you see it visually.

Is there a meterless vergil to frank west combo? I try the MH stinger S, MMH Helm Breaker, OTG (gotta time RT to reset ground bounce count or lunar phase won’t bounce) , Round Trip, H, L Jugdgement cut but I can’t link a lunar phase afterward? How? cr h? Maybe my execution just sucks
Research concludes that any hyper that picks your opponent up off the ground and be DHC’D afterward can level up frank. This more or less gaurantees a way for every cast member to level up frank somehow.
Umm…not from what I’ve seen. I would love to be wrong about Felicia but the only one she might be able to use would be Dancing Flash and the 1 hit that is untechable is too low to DHC into Survival Techniques. If you let it go through to the hits that are high enough to not connect with a Frank DHC they’ll air tech before you can do anything. I’m sure she’s not the only one without a DHC option. The only saving grace for her is that you can DHC into kitty helper to combo off of cart (relaunch into a quick TAC or ADK into hard tag against wide characters) or power up loops from Survival Techniques. She does have a hard tag combo option, but it’s character specific and only works on characters with wide hurtboxes.
Nah, it works. Just tried it. You have to DHC the first hit that she uppercuts them into the air. Tried it, but since my felicia is ass, I just got frank to level 3 off the simple Hyper hitconfirm into blue light.
Switch that, just tried it again with her day 1 BnB into Charge Sand Splash–>Dancing Flash, and it works. They do Flip out after the camera, which is perfectly fine because you will be level 4 by that moment, and can reset them with Happy Happy face time smasher.
Congrats Felicia, you have a way to completely bypass level 1 Frank into level 4.
You have to also be all the way with felix’s back to the corner with a combo with no ADK or slide, 3/4 screen with felicia facing the far corner with no launcher (though occasionally this one will give you a followup launch with frank which is nice. You just hardly ever end up in this spot in a real match in my experience.), or 5/6’s towards the corner but not so far that felicia can’t cross under with her RB>slide. Every real Felicia combo is full corner carry and after a single launch you’ll be too far after cart for Frank to recover in time to snap. Plus Sand splash > dancing flash is the most retarded input in the game since the game loves to give you a kitty helper 20% of the time. Way too many if’s for me to rate it very high on the practicality scale.

Me messing around with Felicia + Frank (and hidden missles).
Was messing around with Chris earlier and found a way to level up Frank with Chris starting on point. After any combo with a hard knockdown and no wall bounce, do the grenade launcher hyper and dhc into cart just after the second grenade launches upwards. The grenade will come down after the wall bounce and you have time to snap a shot to level up. So far I’ve only been able to get to level 3 using Chris/Frank/TM, but it may be possible to get to level 4 with other teams or extended combos.
Also, it is possible to combo after dhcing from the melee hyper to either of Frank’s hypers (not funny face of course) in the corner. However, you don’t have enough to snap a shot and if you land an S there is too much scaling to get anything else to hit, even an instant air S, unless it’s just a naked hyper to start with. I’ll see if I can get some vids up to showcase all this, somewhat disappointing but hopefully something to build on.
depending on a whole bunch of factors (level 2 Frank being the important one) you might be able to link the roundhouse into a grenade to give options (double chris punch for example). pretty situational, but you never know it could have merits.

Yup, exactly what I was doing. Good stuff. Try playing with the sweep combo dhc to frank as well, see if you can get something to work.
The float from the magnum shot mid screen seems to be the best bet. I would like to see if I can land it in the corner and then link into shopping cart for a combo able wall bounce. I’ll play with it tomorrow.
It’s possible if you DHC at the last hit, the opponent will fly high and land on the last hit of the cart. You can then launch but I can’t seem to hit anything after that unless the first hyper is naked. You can also launch if you DHC into survival tactics, but once again, nothing else.
