I quit BMX racing when I was making shitloads of money doing it. It just got really old for me. I was like 15 years old though, I guess I wanted to do other things in my life. Sometimes you just have to do what you want to do.

Im going to skate some ditch in raleigh, then bullshit allday. Way too hot, and I dont have money to renew my park membership, and it’ll be fathersday so the Ihop will be too heavy on my stomach. I’ll still be out there, even just to watch ppl skate.

do i have to get new bearings, wheels, or can i just fix the thing in anyway.

Well I mean how do your bearings feel when you ride on them? That’s all that really matters. I usually get a set of bones swiss and just pop the shields off after a couple of months.
You can buy stuff called ‘tri-flow’ for bearings that works pretty well, or bike chain lubricant at a bike shop works good too.
I’m running a series of contests around my city tomorrow, giving out 500 bucks, 20 bucks at a time for best trick at each spot. It’s called 'Bangers for Bucks, I’m covering it on my site.
Tonight, Kona skatepark is having a pro contest at midnight to ring in go skate day. So I’ll be pretty busy with skateboarding this weekend. OH, and we got clyde singleton to announce!

GO SKATEBOARDING DAY WAS LITERALLY THE SICKEST THING I’VE EVER BEEN INVOLVED IN!!!
There were about 150 of us. We were in downtown Chicago bombing the streets, and riding through the street and shutting off traffic. Dude it was sick.
Two of the highlights.
While we were all bombing the streets, some guy hit a pot hole, and fucking did a front flip forward. Some guy, ollied over him because he didn’t want to crash into him lol. Wish I woulda caught that shit on camera.
Before the street bombing started. I met a small group out 6 skaters. We skated around, hit spots downtown, and were obedient to authority. Well predictably, a cop still fucks with us(Dude they always catch the nice people, but never the motherfuckers that are ollieing ledges right in broad daylight). We weren’t even skating because one of the guy’s wheels falls off. A fucking bike cop comes up to him of all people, and he’s like “Yeah I saw you Skating” and he was like “Impossible sir, my wheel just fell off” the cop is like “I SAW YOU SKATING!!! HOW OLD ARE YOU!!!” “20 sir” “LET ME SEE SOME ID”
The guy goes to get his ID, and he switches hands the cop goes "WHY YOU ACTING ALL SUSPICIOUSLY!! YOU GOT GUNS, OR DRUGS!!!(By this point the skater was backtalking him a little bit). A little kid skater goes, “But sir it’s go Skating day” The officer goes “I DON’T GIVE A FUH, FUH, FUH, FUCK WHAT IT DAY IT IS YOU CAN’T SKATE HERE” I was dying. He started questioning me, and almost wrote me a ticket.

I’ve never seen so many Goofy riders in one setting, lol But seemed like a bad ass turn out. I was watching the Philly vid and like 80% to 90% of the kids skating were wearing skinny pants. I guess that’s whats popping on the streets right now.

The Lance Mountain designed, P-Rod dedicated, nike funded public street plaza opened yesterday. Its very clean and contemporary looking, another reason to be jealous of California skaters :rolleyes:.

That’s so sick. I wish we could have done something like that in Jacksonville. We did it in 2005, but unfortunately cops are giving out felony charges in my town, some serious bullshit. We had a good time anyway, but GOD DAMN it was hot. 105 at the Atlantic beach skatepark. I overheated and threw up trying to earn some of my money back.

Its bogus that they give out felonies for that. I thought, maybe at the least you’d get some BS misdemeanor for trespassing, loitering, maybe even destroying private property in extreme cases.
